Our stock of milk is lower than we would like. If you have a baby under 2 and are in a non smoking household, please consider donating.

We take milk that has been expressed and frozen that is less than 90 days old or you can express on a regular basis and store at home. We provide bottles and get milk collected from your home.

During Scottish Breastfeeding Week would you consider donating your extra breastmilk?

It's really simple to sign up by scanning the QR code below.

We support lots of new families with a little donor milk in the early days. By supporting us you are supporting more women to breastfeed.

Do you have extra breast milk and would like to donate then get in touch via NHS GGC website - Donor Milk Bank.

Your baby needs to be under 2 and any milk needs to be excess to your baby’s requirements.

There is a short lifestyle questionnaire and we arrange for you to have a blood test taken locally.

Thanks

The milk bank team.

Today we celebrate World Human Milk Donation Day 💜

Every drop of donated human milk is a gift of care, compassion and hope for babies who need it most. From premature and vulnerable infants to families facing unexpected challenges, donor milk can make a life-changing difference.

To all of our incredible milk donors — thank you. Your generosity helps give the smallest babies the best possible start in life.

We also want to thank the healthcare teams, volunteers and families who help make milk donation possible across Scotland.

If you’ve ever considered becoming a donor, we’d love to hear from you.

One of our lovely colleagues is fundraising for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity to support access to donor human milk for women living with HIV. Donor human milk is critical for these babies where a supplemental feed is required.
