I often get asked where these organic products are made. They are handcrafted in an eco-factory in Dorset! (I've been fortunate to visit on many occasions and having been an engineer in former years, it really is a fabulous place - purpose built back in 2006).

Where possible organic ingredients are grown on-site but when there's the need to go further afield, ingredients are sourced through ethical programmes, supporting communities and natural habitats all over the world.

When you place your order with myself at Friends With Nature for anything Neal's Yard Remedies they come direct from the warehouse. As you can see from every unboxing, the packaging inside the shipping carton is reused and I in turn reuse the majority of the boxes & paper in my own shipping of packages - preloved items and the curated gifts for those of you who live further afield across the UK. And of course, after its reuse life, the packaging is still recyclable.

Whether we live by the ocean, sea, a lake, river or stream, it's important to help ensure our waterways remain clean & abundant with life. So, when it comes to the products we choose to use, these 3 can help make a difference.....

🌊 Choosing organic where possible & continuing to make swaps to certified organic equivalents as we finish up products

🌊 "Seaweed" - it's become a bit of a "thing". An ingredient which is being more widely promoted as good for us and our skin. But not all are sourced with care...

The Neal's Yard Remedies Seaweed & Arnica collection of which I'm such a big fan for my post-run aches, along with the Seaweed Shampoo & Conditioner are rich with ocean-grown goodness, with the seaweed naturally alkalising with minerals to cleanse and revitalise. Air-dried organic bladderwrack seaweed is used, sustainably sourced from around the British Isles & Nordic region. Carefully selected, hand-cut and dried within hours to preserve its previous minerals

🌊 And if you exfoliate to remove those dried/dead skin cells for a more radiant complexion and smoother feel, always check the exfoliating ingredient. Microbeads have been banned (the small plastic particles) but, be sure to use scrubs and polishes which use exfoliant ingredients like seeds (Neal's Yard Remedies face polish uses rosehip seeds) and ground rice, shell (eg argan) and salt for body scrubs.

How would you like your hands to feel? Along with our faces, our hands are the things which see the light of day the most and seen by others.

Perhaps we're a little embarrassed by them, but instead of reaching for yet another hand cream, I've been encouraging you in recent weeks to try something completely different & you're loving it!

Hydrating the skin, looking to reduce the appearance of lines and age spots and preferring lighter weight products as we head into the warmer weather?

So smoothing and looking for a more even skin tone? And of course cleansing and refreshing and as always (I know I keep saying it) but you really do only need a small amount!

Have you already made a switch or looking to learn more about aluminium-free deodorants?

With it being World Environment Day tomorrow, as you know I'm not about using lots of products (over-consumption and having multiples of the same item) but when it comes to buying something to encourage you to choose organic.

If there's something we've yet to look at swapping & making a switch to an organic equivalent, firstly finish up the product we have and when we're needing to buy, look for the ( ) logo - the ingredients certified - safer for us (without the excessive toxic mix of everything we might apply) and the planet.
