Be Strong Eat. Move. Live This isn’t just about changing your body, its about changing your life. We want you to Be Strong. And with strength comes wellbeing both physically and mentally.

The best part is we do this together as a community which will help and motivate you to create sensible eating choices via NHS advice on healthy
eating, and we will help you to start moving with exercise that you can do. Find your strong. Be Strong founders Rick Wilson and Rachel Wilcock have followed sensible eating plans and adopted lifestyle changes to make significant long term improvements to

their overall health and appearance. Rick is now 10st lighter than at his heaviest and has a strong track record of successfully motivating others to achieve similar results. Rachel doesn't like the term 'diet' but is a firm believer that we need to change the way we think about food and activity to achieve long term success. Be Strong will:

1. Promote safe and sustainable weight loss
2. Help you learn to make healthier food and lifestyle choices
3. Provide mutual aid and support from our group
4. Supply you with weekly progress charts
5. Deliver an NHS approved "couch to core fitness" exercise plan
6. Develop skills to prevent weight regain

You will be participating in a 30 minute ALL INCLUSIVE exercise session led by Rick – please wear trainers, suitable clothing and bring a water bottle and hand towel. This exercise session is performed on the spot where you stand, is suitable for every level of fitness, including people who are currently completely INACTIVE, and carries the NHS seal of approval.

Tonight is the start of something special. 💚

At 7pm, 100 people will take that first step on their Couch to 5K journey. Some will be nervous. Some will be excited. Some will be wondering if they can really do it.

They can.

Eight weeks from now, they'll achieve something they once thought was impossible.

If you've been thinking about joining us, registrations will remain open until 5pm today. Don't spend another year saying "maybe next time."

This is the last Couch to 5K programme of 2026.

🏃‍♀️ MEET YOUR TEAMS! 🏃‍♂️

The countdown is on and we can't wait to welcome you to the start of our Summer Couch to 5K programme!

If you're joining us on Monday 1st June, please arrive at Be Strong, Alan Ramsbottom Way, Great Harwood, no later than 6:40pm. This will give us time to get everyone signed in, introduce your leaders and volunteers, and get you into the right groups ready for a 7:00pm start.

We are genuinely excited to meet so many new faces. Whether you've never run before, haven't exercised for years, or are simply looking for a fresh start, you've already taken the hardest step by signing up.

Over the next 8 weeks you'll be supported by an incredible team of leaders and volunteers who have all been exactly where you are now.

Every one of them started as a beginner, completed the programme themselves, and understand exactly what it feels like to take those first nervous steps. They are living proof that this programme works.

At Be Strong, nobody gets left behind. We run together, support each other, celebrate every milestone and achieve things that many never thought possible.

And there's still time to join us! 🙌

We'll be keeping registration open right up until 6pm on Monday, so if you know someone who's been thinking about taking part, now is the time to give them a nudge.

What a day ❤️🌈

Honestly, where do I even start.

Today was everything this group deserved and more.

Every single person should feel massively proud of themselves. The commitment, consistency and support shown week after week has been incredible to watch.

Today wasn’t really about running. It was about confidence, belief, turning up when you didn’t feel like it and proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you think.

The colours, the medals, the food, the drinks, the laughs afterwards… just one of those days you wish you could bottle up.

Thank you to every single person who’s been part of it. You made today special 🌈🏅🍻

Tomorrow is more than just a colour run. 🌈

Week after week you turned up, put the work in and kept moving forward together.

I’m genuinely proud to have been part of it and privileged to train alongside such an amazing group of people.

I hope every one of you is as proud of yourselves as I am of you, because what you’ve achieved really matters.

Tomorrow, enjoy every second. Get covered in colour, collect your medal and celebrate what you’ve earned.

Then afterwards we’ll do what Be Strong does best… food, drinks and a good laugh together 🍻🏅
