๐ŸŒฟ Happy Bank Holiday Monday! ๐ŸŒฟ

As August draws to a close, the Bank Holiday offers a welcome opportunity to slow the pace, step outside and enjoy a little more of the natural world around us.

Whether your day involves a woodland walk, time in the garden, a picnic, a favourite view or simply a few quiet moments outdoors, we hope you find some space to pause, breathe and recharge.

Sometimes the simplest connection with nature is all we need. ๐Ÿ’š

Wishing you a peaceful and restorative Bank Holiday from Harmony In Nature.

๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒฟ Hazel Sturgeon Full Moon & Partial Lunar Eclipse โ€“ Friday 28th August

August draws towards its close with a particularly striking Full Moon, accompanied by a Partial Lunar Eclipse visible from the UK.

The partial eclipse begins at approximately 3.33am BST, reaching maximum at around 5.12am, when more than 90% of the Moon will be within the darkest part of the Earth's shadow. Unlike a solar eclipse, it is completely safe to view with the naked eye.

This is the Sturgeon Moon, named for the ancient fish traditionally associated with August's Full Moon, while in the Celtic tree calendar we are within the month of Hazel โ€“ a tree long associated with wisdom, knowledge and inspiration.

There is something rather beautiful in bringing these together: the rooted wisdom of the tree, the ancient Sturgeon navigating deep waters, and the interplay of light and shadow across the Moon.

Jo's latest Harmony Blog explores the Full Moon, eclipse and some of the traditions surrounding them.

๐ŸŒ  The Perseids are coming โ€“ and 2026 could be a particularly magical year for viewing them.
One of the most beautiful celestial displays of the summer, the Perseid Meteor Shower, reaches its peak overnight on 12thโ€“13th August.
And this year the heavens have arranged something rather special. ๐ŸŒ‘โœจ
With the New Moon falling on 12th August (see previous post), there will be very little moonlight to obscure the fainter meteors, creating exceptionally favourable conditions if the skies are clear.
The Perseids have long been one of my (Jo) favourite annual celestial events. Some of my happiest memories are of lying outside beneath the August sky with my daughters, wrapped in duvets and watching for those sudden streaks of light.
In my latest blog, I explore not only when and where to look, but also the spiritual symbolism of the Perseids and Zikiel, Angel of Comets and Meteors, associated with inspiration, inner wisdom and our connection with All That Is.
๐ŸŒ  Perhaps this August, find somewhere dark, wrap up warmly and spend a little time simply looking upwards.

๐ŸŒ‘โœจ Hazel New Moon & Total Solar Eclipse โ€“ Wednesday 12th August 2026 โœจ๐ŸŒฟ
A rather extraordinary celestial alignment arrives this Wednesday, when the Hazel New Moon at 18:36 BST coincides with a Total Solar Eclipse.
Although the path of totality falls outside the UK, a partial eclipse will be visible here, and symbolically this meeting of Sun and Moon offers a powerful threshold for reflection, release and new beginnings.
๐ŸŒฟ In the Celtic Tree Calendar, Hazel is associated with wisdom, intuition, inspiration and deeper knowing โ€” particularly appropriate when familiar light is temporarily obscured and we are invited to look within.
And this is only the beginning. The Hazel lunar cycle opens with this Total Solar Eclipse and culminates on 28th August with the Hazel Sturgeon Full Moon & Partial Lunar Eclipse.
I've brought together the astronomy, Hazel wisdom, eclipse symbolism and some gentle ways to work with this remarkable New Moon in Joโ€™s latest Harmony Blog.

๐ŸŒพ Happy Lรบnasa! ๐ŸŒฟ

Today we celebrate Lรบnasa, the ancient Celtic festival of the First Harvest.

As summer begins its gentle transition towards autumn, nature reminds us that every season has its gifts. The hedgerows are filling with berries, the fields are ripening, and the landscape is rich with colour, life and abundance.

Lรบnasa is a wonderful time to slow down, step outside and notice what the natural world has to teach us. It is an opportunity to reflect on the seeds we planted earlier in the year, appreciate what has grown, and consider what we wish to nurture during the months ahead.

Whether you spend a few quiet moments beneath a favourite tree, wander through woodland, or simply pause to watch the movement of the clouds, we hope you find time today to reconnect with the rhythms of nature.

May this First Harvest bring gratitude, balance and renewed inspiration.

Happy Lรบnasa from all of us at Harmony in Nature.

๐ŸŒ‘ Holly Super New Moon โ€“ Working with Nature's Rhythms ๐ŸŒณ

Today, Tuesday 14th July, the Holly Super New Moon reaches its peak at 10:43am (BST).

While hidden from view, the New Moon marks the beginning of a fresh lunar cycleโ€”a quiet invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature and consider what you would like to nurture in the weeks ahead.

In Celtic tradition, Holly is one of our great guardian trees. Evergreen throughout the year, it symbolises resilience, protection and enduring strength.

Why not celebrate this New Moon by:
๐ŸŒณ Taking a mindful walk
๐ŸŒฟ Sitting quietly beneath a tree
๐Ÿฆ‹ Observing the wildlife around you
๐Ÿ“ Reflecting on your hopes for the season ahead

Jo's latest Harmony Blog explores the Holly Super New Moon and the timeless wisdom of living in harmony with nature.

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š Thank You Day ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ

Some sources observe Thank You Day on the first Sunday in July, while others list it on 7th July. Whatever the date, its message is the same: taking a moment to express heartfelt gratitude.

Here at Harmony in Nature, we'd like to say thank you to nature.

๐ŸŒณ For the trees that shelter us.
๐Ÿฆ For birdsong that lifts the spirit.
๐ŸŒธ For wildflowers that brighten our walks.
๐ŸŒŠ For rivers, seas and rain that sustain life.
๐ŸŒŽ For the Earth that quietly supports us every day.

Nature gives so much without asking for anything in return.

Perhaps today is an opportunity to give something backโ€”whether that's planting for wildlife, picking up litter, supporting conservation, or simply spending a few mindful moments outdoors.

๐Ÿƒ What in nature are you most grateful for today?

๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŒ•โ˜„๏ธ Oak Strawberry Full Micro Moon & Asteroid Day

This year's Full Moon brings together the grounded wisdom of the Oak, the seasonal abundance of the Strawberry Moon and the cosmic perspective of Asteroid Day.

The Oak reminds us to stand firm in our truth.

The Strawberry Moon celebrates nature's gifts and the fruits of patience.

Asteroid Day encourages us to remember that our forests, rivers and landscapes are part of a much larger living universe.

Our latest Harmony Healing Blog explores these fascinating connections and offers a simple nature reflection to help you work with this beautiful seasonal energy.
