We were delighted to host our Time For A Cuppa afternoon tea at Pax Hill Care Home in support of Dementia UK 💙

It was wonderful to see so many of our residents and their families come together to enjoy a lovely afternoon filled with tea, cakes, conversation and community spirit. A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen team for putting on such a beautiful spread — and to everyone who donated and supported the event.

Together, we raised over £300 for Dementia UK! ☕✨

This week is Dementia Focus week at Pax Hill. Lots of activities and extra training has been happening throughout Pax Hill and today we have The Dementia Bus, this immersive simulation gives our staff an opportunity to experience what it is like to live with Dementia. The simulation includes sensory impairment, reduced dexterity and distractions and disorientation whilst trying to complete everyday tasks. The debrief session offers practical strategies on how best to communicate and support a person living with dementia.

'Keep calm and wind up' A huge thanks to Gramofun for coming and sharing your knowledge of gramophones with us. Your enthusiasm was contagious and we loved hearing all about gramophones and listening to the records you brought in. Music ranging from pre war to the 1960's had us all tapping our toes.
