Nobody warns you that the energy spent trying NOT to feel unsettled during a transition is often more draining than the transition itself.
When something in your life shifts, a new role, a new home, a new relationship dynamic, even a new season...your nervous system fires up. It scans for threat. It wants to know: is this safe?
And if you spend all your energy arguing with that response ("I shouldn't feel like this," "I should be grateful," "everyone else seems fine"), you're essentially fighting yourself.
What if instead, you got curious?
What if the discomfort was data, not a sign that something's wrong, but a sign that something is genuinely shifting?
In hypnotherapy, one of the most powerful shifts we make is from resistance to curiosity. Not bypassing the hard feelings. Not forcing positivity. Just… stopping the fight long enough to listen.
