Looking for a Quick & Delicious Way to Sneak More Protein Into Your Snacks? I Got You Covered with These 4 Protein Bite Recipes!

While of course there’s no replacement for a balanced, protein-packed meal, these nutritious protein bites are a great way to stay full throughout the day while satisfying any sweet tooth you may have! Plus each of these recipes make 12 bites, so you can grab-and-go and enjoy them throughout the week. ⁠

What you need for the Almond Joy Bites:⁠
-1 cup oats⁠
-1.5 tbsp honey⁠
-⅔ cup almond butter⁠
-½ cup chocolate chips⁠
-¼ cup sliced almonds⁠
-½ cup toasted coconut⁠
-¼ cup vanilla protein powder⁠

What you need for the Carrot Cake Bites:⁠
-½ cup pitted dates ⁠
-⅓ cup apricots ⁠
-½ cup walnuts⁠
-1.5 cup shredded carrot⁠
½ cup oats⁠
-1 tbsp coconut oil⁠
-1 tsp cinnamon⁠
-½ tsp nutmeg⁠
-¼ cup vanilla protein powder ⁠

What you need for the Oatmeal Raisin Bites:⁠
-1 ¼ cup oats⁠
-⅔ cup peanut butter ⁠
-⅓ cup honey ⁠
-¼ cup toasted coconut⁠
-⅓ cup raisins⁠
-¼ cup vanilla protein powder ⁠

What you need for the Fudge Brownie Bites:⁠
-½ cup pitted dates ⁠
-¼ cup chocolate chips ⁠
-½ cup sliced almonds ⁠
-½ cup walnuts ⁠
-1 tbsp coconut oil⁠
-¼ tsp salt ⁠
-¼ cup chocolate protein powder ⁠

What to do:⁠
1- Place all ingredients (except for the raisins) into a high speed blender or food processor and blend until smooth.⁠
2- If making Oatmeal Raisin, add in raisins once blended.⁠
3- Scoop out 1 tbsp of the mix and mold it into a ball using clean hands (mix may be crumbly, so you will need to pack it down before molding).⁠
4- Place each rolled bite onto a tray lined with parchment paper (Optional to roll each bite in a topping of choice if you desire).⁠
5- Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes and then dig in or place in a sealed container for later. ⁠

Optional topping ideas:⁠
-shredded coconut⁠
-crushed nuts⁠
-cacao powder⁠
-goji berries⁠
-melted chocolate⁠

8 RULES TO BURN FAT by

While this isn't an all encompassing list to burning fat, it will definitely get you started in the right direction.

As with any weight loss goal, a calorie deficit is THE number one most important factor in determining weight loss…don't forget it. 🤷‍♂️

Avoiding liquid calories, filling up on veggies, and eating protein at every meal are all staple habits to adopt if you are looking to drop body fat.

A full night's sleep, consistent exercise (2-3x per week), and increased activity like upping your step count will also assist your fat loss goals.

An often overlooked aspect regarding fat loss is enjoyment. You've got to somewhat enjoy the process. 😊

If you dread every aspect of the journey, you’ll be much more likely to burn out rather than to burn fat!

Here’s a great visual on how you should prioritize the different components of your fat loss efforts, courtesy of 💪

1️⃣ Calorie Deficit: Eating less calories than your body needs is the only way to lose fat - keep in mind that you should try to eat a variety of foods to ensure you get the necessary macros and micros you need to function at a high level 😎

2️⃣ Eat Enough Protein: to maintain muscle mass, to recover from workouts, to keep you full and satiated when you’re dieting and so you get toned aka you don’t turn “skinny fat”.

💥 Note: If one has a substantial amount of weight to lose, you can use your GOAL weight rather than current bodyweight for the calculations in 1️⃣ and 2️⃣!

3️⃣ Lift Weights: 2-5x a week! Don’t have access to a gym or weights right now? Using your bodyweight or resistance bands can work too!

4️⃣ Sleep: 7-9 hours a night to recover, rest and keep your hunger levels in check. When you don’t sleep enough, your body will be hungrier. so get those Zzzs! 😴

5️⃣ Cardio, Movement, and 8-10k steps/day. Finding active hobbies you enjoy will keep you consistent and make it a lot more fun 😊

☝️ Find what works for you, your lifestyle, habits, and preferences. Focus on the BIG stuff and don’t let the little things distract you from the big picture 👊

If you are struggling to stay full during a weight loss phase, you might want to take a look at the meals you are eating.⁣

Are your meals mainly highly processed foods with minimal nutrients?⁣

Or are your meals loaded with protein and fiber (which help keep you full)⁣.

When it comes to weight loss, many people believe that you have to drown yourself in exercise and change your place of residency to the local gym in order to achieve results.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This is NOT the case.⁣
⁣⁣
Exercise is great. It helps us stay active and it helps us live longer. I'm all for it.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But when it comes to weight loss, it is SO IMPORTANT to get your diet and nutrition in check.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you do not have your diet and nutrition in check, your weight loss efforts will fall flat!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Do not rely on cardio machines and burpees for weight loss.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Yes, exercising burns calories and it is great for you.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But watching what we eat and tracking our calorie intake can be beneficial part for weight loss if you don't get too anxious about it.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Also, your meals and the foods you eat do not have to be wicked complicated.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
They can be super simple and easy to prepare.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Some of my favorite meals are easy to prepare and taste great too.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I don't overcomplicate it! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I like to have protein in my meals, and a source of carbohydrates as well. Usually sweet or white potatoes, rice, or oats. Also, I enjoy having a lot of veggies and fruits as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Protein source + carb source + veggies = a bomb meal that will help you reach your goals.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
These 6 meals are just examples and they can be customized!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you are struggling with weight loss, try these meals out. They are nutrient dense and they will help keep you full.⁣⁣

If you just eat fast food and random snacks throughout the day, you are going to be constantly hungry.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you are constantly hungry, you are going to just start snacking and the calories will add up quickly!⁣⁣
