I love to see how my wonderful testers have customised their Crazy Hexi Cool Tops to be exactly how they want them- cropped, long, high necked, low cut- as a maker I feel like seeing lots of examples of how a pattern comes out in different yarn and colours is so helpful! Oooo look what arrived yesterday! I’m so excited to try out these Scheepjes Colour Crafter Cakes! Each cake colour combo is made up from six Colour Crafter shades- SO YOU CAN MATCH THEM 👏🙌👏🙌 I am looking at making another mandala blanket and love not having the anxiety of running out of the cake before the last round- I can just match the colour and finish it off. Would also be so useful when making a cardigan for the cuffs and border👏

For the Crazy Hexi Cool Top, the granny stitch creates lovely vertical lines through the body of the garment. I really love the way these uninterrupted lines give the top a flattering, elongating look while still keeping that relaxed, timeless feel of granny stitch.

And, of course, granny stitch has that wonderfully rhythmic quality that makes it such a relaxing stitch to crochet.

A customisable crochet top

One of the things I really wanted to include in this crochet top pattern was flexibility.

The Crazy Hexi Cool Top includes 5 inclusive sizes and 11 different length options, so you can create a top that suits you rather than having to fit yourself around a fixed pattern.

The sizes are:

XS/S, M/L, XL/2X, 3X/4X and 5X

There are also 11 length options, A–K, ranging from a shorter top through to a longer tunic-style length.

The neckline is customisable too, giving you even more flexibility when creating your finished garment.

Pattern Testers Wanted!
Would you like to test my new Granny Mandala Blanket pattern?
I’m looking for a lovely group of crocheters to put my newest pattern through its paces before it’s released!

The Granny Mandala Blanket is worked from the centre out with a colourful repeating granny design and finished with a gorgeous bobble border.
There are six sizes to choose from:
Baby: approx. 86cm / 33¾in
Lap: approx. 116cm / 45¾in
Throw: approx. 147cm / 57¾in
Large Throw: approx. 178cm / 70in
Extra Large Throw: approx. 209cm / 82¼in
Statement: approx. 240cm / 94½in

My blanket was made in Aran/Medium weight yarn, but I’m happy for testers to experiment with different yarns and, of course, choose their own colour combinations.
As part of the test, I’ll ask you to keep track of your yarn usage and finished measurements, send me your honest feedback, and provide some lovely photos of your finished blanket.
Testing deadline: 7th November 2026
I’d especially love to get a good mix of testers across all six sizes, so whether you fancy making a little Baby blanket or going all out with the enormous Statement size, I’d love to hear from you!
