Every year, HAD supports around 5,000 people to navigate challenges, access vital support and understand and protect their rights. ❤️

To continue this vital work, we’re raising funds to secure a new home for HAD - a welcoming, accessible space where disabled people can find expert advice, practical support and a community that understands.

Our new home will be much more than an office.
It will be an inclusive community space where disabled people can:

• Receive support they need
• Take part in activities
• Meet and socialise
• Build friendships and connections
• Share their experiences and ideas
• Feel safe, valued, included and empowered

We want to create a place that truly belongs to the disabled community - a space where everyone feels welcome, valued and empowered!

Your donation, however large or small, will help bring this vision closer to reality and secure a sustainable future for HAD and the people we support.

Every donation makes a difference. ❤️

Together, we can ensure HAD continues changing lives for the next 50 years!

HAD has a small staff team, most of whom are part time, supported by a small group of volunteers, which provides services to thousands of people every year. We never have enough funding to do everything we want to do and there are many areas where we could further develop services or work on making....

“She said: “This does not reflect the current or projected need for accessible housing.

“At a time when the ageing population is steadily increasing and demand for accessible housing is growing, the government’s proposals are dangerous and short-sighted.”

A disabled people’s organisation has accused the Labour government of “discrimination by design” over a “roll back” in accessible housing targets in the final version of its new national planning p…
