✨ Join us for a beautiful Afternoon Tea on Friday 26th June at 2PM at The Lighthouse Sports & Social Hub — a delightful afternoon filled with delicious treats, wonderful company, and community spirit, all for an incredible cause. Every ticket sold will help raise vital funds towards creating a warm, welcoming community classroom that can be enjoyed all year round. This new indoor space will provide opportunities for more activities, events, support sessions, and community gatherings for people of all ages. Whether you come for the tea, the prosecco, or simply to support the cause, your contribution will help us build something truly special for the whole community. Together, we can create a place where everyone feels welcome, connected, and supported. 💕

🎉 🎉 Thank You to The National Lottery Community Fund! 🎉

We are delighted to have received an Awards for All grant from The National Lottery Community Fund to support our community engagement and wellbeing activities at The Lighthouse Sports & Social Hub.

Thanks to National Lottery players, this funding is helping us provide free and affordable opportunities for local children, families and adults to connect, stay active, learn new skills and improve their wellbeing.

The funding is supporting activities including:

🛼 Skate Club
👶 Babies & Toddlers
🎨 Arts & Crafts Club
📚 Book Club
🏡 Home Education Club
🎒 After Hours Kidz Club

It is also helping us support volunteers, deliver community cooking sessions, engage SEND families, develop our community garden project and ensure local people can access activities regardless of financial circumstances.

At FACESUK CIC, we believe everyone deserves opportunities to thrive, and this funding is helping us create a more connected, inclusive and healthier community across Harwich and Dovercourt.

📢 Temporary Closure Notice 📢

The Lighthouse will be closed on Monday 1st June and Tuesday 2nd June while we have new flooring installed throughout the venue.

This exciting improvement has been made possible thanks to funding from the Active Essex Places and Spaces Fund, and we’re very grateful for their support.

We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen with our refreshed space.

🏓 Exciting News! 🏓

Our brand-new outdoor table tennis tables have arrived! 🎉

Thanks to our successful application to the Jack Petchey Foundation Table Donation Scheme, delivered in partnership with Table Tennis England, we can now offer even more opportunities for young people and the wider community to get active, have fun, and develop new skills.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing more structured table tennis sessions, helping participants improve their technique, build confidence, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have a competitive streak, we can’t wait to see the tables in action! 🏓☀️
