What a few days it’s been for More Community.
It started with Alex Cole speaking at the latest Dad La Soul event in Tunbridge Wells, hosted at Charlie's Angels Kitchens — sharing the importance of community, connection, and what it means to keep showing up for yourself and others.
That was followed by the Bewl Water Community Walk, where we welcomed a new member for the full 13-mile walk on what turned out to be a beautiful day. Conversation flowed naturally throughout — from grief and growing up, to Three Peaks challenges and everything in between. The pace was set by our newest member, Hazel, who completely blew us away when she shared that she’ll be turning 80 this year.
On Sunday, our founder was invited to join VS LIFE for their event on Ferring Beach — a 5k run followed by breakfast on the beach, sea dips, sauna, contrast therapy, and the kind of honest conversations that remind us why community matters.
To top it all off, one of our original members, Kate Walker, took on the TCS London Marathon in the heat — another incredible reminder of what people are capable of when they commit to something bigger than comfort.
We can’t wait to see what the coming weeks have in store, but we do know one thing — we’ll be meeting at Beachy Head West car park on Saturday 2nd May, 10am for our South Downs hike, supported by the Beachy Head Ambassadors.
We hope you can join us. Walk >> Talk >> Connect.
