We've celebrated a very special birthday this month, Happy 100th birthday Maud! A day full of visitors, cake and cards enjoyed by both Maud and her husband John who also lives with us.
When asked her advice on living to 100, Maud simply smiled and pottered about. Keeping busy clearly has its own rewards!

We are very excited to announce the opening of our new sensory garden area. Several members of staff, their partners and children have volunteered their own free time to renovate a slightly sad and overgrown area of our garden behind the main patio. We are looking forward to sharing this space with you and your loved ones as the weather improves!
We've also re-grouted our entire patio to help stop those pesky weeds, before and after pictures below!

A great big thank you to everyone who helped make Christmas at Jack Simpson House so special this year, to all the staff who worked around the clock and to the friends and family who visited bringing joy and laughter. We would also like to say a big thank you to Evotec who donated presents, and to Tracy, a family member who hand made gift tags and made up gift bags for all residents. We would also like to say a special thank you to the family of the Late Betty Reed, a former resident at Jack Simpson House, who donated a variety of gifts for all of our residents, via a fund raising scheme with their workplace. Thank you for helping us bring the festive cheer this season.
