WEEKLY EARLY MORNING (1 hour) WIM HOF METHOD SESSIONS- WHO’S INTERESTED??? 🙋‍♂️🙋🙋‍♀️💯💙

We’re looking to get up and running the weekly Wim Hof Method sessions in Helston. 📍

Provisionally these would be 1 hour sessions to do a group breathwork workshop followed by supervised, individual ice baths.

These sessions are aimed at those that want to stay consistent with their practice of WHM and provide a weekly self care and well being activity that will do so much good for your health, while leaving you feeling great! 💯

WHAT IS HYPOXIC TRAINING? WHAT BENEFITS CAN IT GIVE YOU?……

Hypoxic training exposes the body to lower oxygen environments or controlled oxygen restriction, challenging the system to become more efficient. This can improve oxygen utilisation, increase resilience under stress, enhance endurance, support recovery, and strengthen mental toughness. 🫁💪

Beyond athletic performance, controlled hypoxic exposure is also being explored for its potential benefits around cardiovascular health, metabolic function, focus, energy regulation, and overall wellbeing. Like many powerful tools, the key is applying the right stress in the right dose to stimulate adaptation and growth.

One of the first documentaries on Wim Hof and the Wim Hof Method

Filmed mainly in Poland, where we had to go to complete our WHM training, this is one of the first videos profiling Wim and his method.

We still use clips from this documentary in our courses today. Like many things that you want to gauge the validity of- the test of time is always a great way to measure something quality. 10 years ago this documentary was made!! 😮 It has aged well, and what was said then and claimed has been proven and still stands possible even more relevantly today!! 💯

⚠👉 THE LANDMARK STUDY‼️

There are 27 or more scientific studies that have now been conducted on the Wim Hof Method, and more going on as we speak. However, in 2011 and again 2014 Radboud University conducted what is now seen as the "landmark study" something that changed what science understood about the Autonomic Nervous System and Immune System.

I explain this every time I teach WHM and people still can't believe it. But, this study has been replicated many times now and the results stack up!

This is something I think EVERYONE should know and something that when experienced is hugely powerful and empowering. We are constantly being bombarded with fear tactics around health and disease, and in reality when you know how to truly tap into the innate power of the human body, the autonomic nervous system and immune system you realise there is nothing to fear. In fact, it's that fear (stress) that is causing more downstream health issues in itself- It becomes a negative self fulfilling prophecy. You don't have to get pulled into that way of thinking!!!

It’s very pleasing to hear that people are not only listening and fully committing to the sessions we run, but also taking our recommendations for life outside.

The one book we recommend most is “Breath” by James Nestor. It changed everything for me and opened my eyes to how much the breath influences and affects everything. It’s really is the most important book I’ve ever read.

Any recommendations from you?

If I had to say another (completely unrelated) it would be “The sixteenth round” by Rubin Carter.

I’ve been too busy to post!! 😂🙈

I’m rushed now, but I just wanted to make sure I used this as a way to reflect on a great morning.

We delivered a talk and breathwork session to Truro Fire station.

We loved how invested the guys were and how committed the Fire fighters were to take on some of our techniques to enable them to perform and manage stress.

We’re looking forward to doing more work with them and other organisations looking to understand human performance, performance under pressure and stress management.

🙌 HERE’S KEITH SMASHING IT AT HYROX LAST WEEK!!- What do you notice that’s a little different???

Nasal breathing during exercise is one of the simplest ways to influence performance, recovery, stress response and breathing efficiency all at once. It changes how you tolerate effort physiologically — not just how you feel psychologically.

CO2 is often seen as a bad gas, but the reality is it plays a huge role in how haemoglobin release oxygen (the Bohr effect). Nasal breathing during exercise develops CO2 tolerance and naturally slows respiratory rate.

There’s many other benefits including what it does for the nervous system and nitric oxide etc. Let’s just say this is something we can teach you that will give you the single biggest improvement and advantage in athletic performance 💯

🤔 WHEN YOU FEEL A COLD/FLU COMING…. WHAT’S YOUR FIRST RESPONSE??

I don’t know if it’s still out there but I remember when there was a cold & flu treatment out there called “first defence” or something like that.

It is proven that via breath work and cold exposure you can lower inflammation, influence the nervous system and kickstart the immune system without the need for any meds. 😮

The world famous Endotoxin study from Radboud university in both 2011 and 2014 showed this and has been replicated numerous times since.

We know this and yet most will still turn to the meds as their first defence to cold and flu. WHY? Why not try something that just taps into the bodies ability to do what it’s capable of?

That’s what we do, and not just for illnesses via The HALO Project 💯
