✨ They came to Beauty Bar for work experience… but they taught me something too. 💛

After 25 years of running my salon, you’d think I’d be the one doing all the teaching.

But every year, my work experience students remind me of something I’ve never forgotten…

Attitude beats talent every single time.

These two have been an absolute pleasure to have in the salon.

✨ Always asking, “What’s next?”

Watching their confidence grow over the past few days has been such a lovely reminder that the future really is in good hands.

People often think work experience is just about learning new skills…

But the truth is, I learn just as much from them.

Their enthusiasm, kindness and willingness to get stuck in reminds me why I love opening my salon doors to the next generation.

“I was told laser hair removal would never work because of my hormones…”

This is something I hear all the time.

These before and after photos are of one of my lovely clients who has PMOS (formerly known as PCOS), a condition that can cause excessive facial hair growth.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that laser hair removal doesn’t work for women with hormonal hair growth.

The truth is…

✨ Laser doesn’t cure PMOS.
✨ It doesn’t change your hormones.
✨ But it can significantly reduce unwanted hair growth, reduce ingrown hairs, improve the skin and restore confidence.

Women with PMOS often need more sessions and occasional maintenance treatments because hormones can continue to stimulate new hair growth. That’s why every treatment plan should be personalised.

With 25 years’ experience, treating hormonal hair growth has become one of my specialities. Many of my clients have been told elsewhere that nothing could be done, and they travel to Beauty Bar because they know they’ll receive an honest assessment, realistic expectations and a treatment plan tailored specifically to them.

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone leave the salon smiling, feeling confident and no longer hiding their face.
