Does the thought of lowering into a lunge make you feel a bit wobbly or cause a twinge in your knees? You aren’t alone. Lunges are a powerhouse movement for our strength and mobility, but they can be daunting if you feel off-balance.
In my classes, we focus on modulation. Using a wall, a door frame, or even a TRX isn’t “cheating”—it’s a smart way to build proprioceptive awareness and strengthen your stabilising muscles without the fear of falling.
Whether you’re practicing at home or joining me in class, remember: stability is the foundation of strength. Give these supported variations a go and let your body feel the difference!
