☀️ YELLOW HEAT HEALTH ALERT: Stay Safe in the Heat! ☀️

A Yellow Heat Health Alert is in effect across the East Midlands from 12pm on Thursday 18 June 2026 until 8pm on Tuesday 23 June 2026.
High temperatures can put everyone at risk, especially older people, young children, and those with health conditions.

Take action to protect yourself and others:
✅ Drink plenty of water
✅ Stay in the shade during peak hours
✅ Check in on vulnerable neighbours and family

You can now use automated options to have simple queries answered and actioned quickly and easily. To help save time, please have your NHS number ready when you call.

📲 It's now possible for patients at all NHS hospital trusts in England to check referrals and appointments through the NHS App.

✅ Many patients can also use the app to reschedule or cancel appointments, helping cut the number of missed appointments.

Skincare & Makeup Workshop

Duration: 2 hours
Cost: Free of charge
When- 4th May 1pm- 3pm at Project St Thomas

Who can attend the workshop?
Anyone with a cancer diagnosis from point of diagnosis, up to one year after treatment has finished.
You can be receiving any type of treatment – radiotherapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy or perhaps you have just needed an operation to remove the cancer. You are welcome to attend our workshops no matter what treatment you are having!

These workshops are a one off per person, per diagnosis.

Our trained volunteer beauty experts will teach you how to look after your skin, whilst talking through any side effects you might have such as dryness, what products might benefit you and then teach you how to apply a basic, natural makeup.
What do I need to bring to the workshop?

Everything will be provided on the day but if you have any favourite brushes and a foundation/concealer that is your perfect shade then do feel free to bring them along with you.
