Midsummer Wine Day 2 is a full-day celebration of Last of the Summer Wine, taking place at Sid’s Café in Holmfirth on Wednesday 10 June 2026 from 10am.

Fans can enjoy meet-and-greets, talks, a quiz, a treasure hunt, themed bus tours and special appearances, with plenty of opportunities to dress as favourite characters and soak up the spirit of the much-loved series.

The day also includes a souvenir sale in support of local hospice charity The Kirkwood, making it a fun, nostalgic and community-minded event for Summer Wine fans old and new.

Calling all young artists under 11! 🌈

We’re inviting children to create a bright, colourful poster celebrating:

💖 Kindness
🌟 Inclusion
🤝 Friendship
🎉 Pride in who you are
🌈 Respect for everyone

Use any art style or materials you like - drawing, painting, collage and more! We want to see creative, positive designs that spread joy and celebrate diversity.

🏆 One winning design will receive a prize and be professionally printed & displayed around Holmfirth during Pride celebrations!

🖼️ All completed entries will also be featured in a public exhibition as part of Holmfirth Pride 2026.

• Deadline: Friday 12 June 2026
• Judging: 15–26 June 2026
• Winners announced: Week beginning 29 June 2026

📍 Posters can be dropped off at Redbak or Bluebird Bakery in Holmfirth.

Who’s seen April’s second edition of her Holmfirth public project? ⚡

Featuring a neonized interpretation of the Northern Lights.. translating sky into glass, colour into movement.

This new installation explores aurora as structure: light suspended in space, looping between nature and form.

This second edition is part of April Key Studio’s year-long transformation of the former cobbler’s shop into a living, breathing public gallery.

Each new installation reimagines the space with fresh works inspired by light, place and season, bringing contemporary sculpture right onto the street in Holmfirth.
