Grateful every week for my Sunday training session followed by Hotpod Yoga 🧘🏽♀️💪🏽
It’s become such an ingrained part of my routine — time to move, switch off, reset and head into a new week feeling grounded. And the great night’s sleep afterwards is always a bonus! 🙌🏽
Some weeks I feel strong, energised and capable… other weeks, not so much. Perimenopause has been kicking my arse lately, and I’m learning more than ever to work WITH my body rather than constantly fight against it.
On the harder days, I adjust. I move. I accept that not every session needs to be my best session — because I know my mental health will always benefit from showing up and doing something for myself.
Building strength and muscle takes time. There are no shortcuts. It’s about consistency — week after week, month after month and, most importantly, year after year.
Because this isn’t just about how we look today. It’s about longevity. Protecting our bones, maintaining our muscle, staying strong, capable and independent as we age. 💪🏽
I’m not training for a quick fix. I’m training for the woman I want to be at 50, 60, 70 and beyond.
Strong isn’t built overnight. It’s built over a lifetime. ❤️
