The healing journey is not one to be taken lightly, yet when you do, it not only allows you to shine and show up for yourself, it allows you to shine and show up for your friends, your family, and those you work with.

I started my day getting distracted by the million messages on my phone instead of my usual breath and lemon water.

Then my son spilled his cereal on the sofa, which I'd forgotten about when I put my shoes on and sat in it giving me a wet arse.

My daughter had a before school club and we were running late, queue the argument of hurrying the children to finish getting ready.

I really fancied a coffee but I have a rule of no coffee until I've had breakfast. I didn't have time for breakfast so I had a banana 🍌😂

Trying to have a conversation with the hubby and get interrupted every minute. Then wondering what TF I was talking about.

And I'm smiling to myself as I walk round the woods as there was a time where I would have let these types of mornings ruin my day.

Now I know I'm in charge of my body, my thoughts, my emotions, and my energy.

I no longer beat myself up for a morning that didn't go to plan.

I stop and reset.

I know they've gone to school fed, clothed, clean and happy.
I got to play football with my son while my daughter had her club and we could see her through the wire fence.
I even got an extra kiss as they greeted us at the gate after their club.
I also didn't care when her friend told me I had a VPL 😂 and gently explained that when you become a woman you bleed and have to deal with that. To which she was grossed out by.

And now I'm walking in a beautiful woods refilling my energy and happiness, listening to the birds and feeling the sun on my skin when it appears from behind the clouds.

There's something so special and sacred in holding space for a woman's first ever Reiki treatment.

And I just love it and feel so honoured when I get to do that, like today.

Every session is special to me, yet there's something so magical watching someone feel the Holy Fire energy for the first time.

The way their body relaxes.

The way their mind lets go.

The way their soul leads.

Their reaction afterwards as they're in complete awe and amazement at what just happened.

How they walk out of that room a different person.

Happier
Fuller
Content and complete

I love it so much.

And the more you allow Reiki to hold you, the deeper you go.

Don't give up on your dreams. Yet don't try to do everything all at once either. One step at a time is enough.
You are strong and brave but you don't need to be 'on' all of the time.
You are allowed to rest and feel full, especially when that goes against the grain of society.
Stop comparing yourself to others, especially those who have a lot more years and experience under their belts. Compare yourself to your past selves.
You have to start somewhere and you've already made the most important step - the first step.
Stop beating yourself up for not being perfect and not getting everything right. You're never going to be perfect and you earn wisdom from your mistakes.
Keep following your heart and looking after yourself.
