Grangewood Care Home Our dedicated team provides high-quality residential, dementia and short-term respite care

Grangewood is a bright and welcoming care home offering gold standard residential care for older people, including those living with dementia. The purpose-built care home is set in the village of Shiney Row, close to Houghton-le-Spring in Tyne and Wear. The home has a strong community atmosphere and is close to the local village library, medical centre and various churches. There's also a post office and a pub on the doorstep, and good transport links, which all helps residents to retain their independence. All of the bedrooms at Grangewood have en-suite facilities and are stylishly furnished. Your loved one is welcome to bring their own treasured possessions and items of furniture to help them to feel more at home.

From our refreshing wellness walks 🚶‍♀️🌿 to a lovely cuppa and catch-up at Hugs ’N’ Mugs Café ☕💕, finishing off with the wonderful Houghton Feast! 🎡🎉

Our Sit, Slide & Cycle exercise class is all about keeping active, building strength and confidence, and helping to reduce the risk of falls.

But most of all… it’s about FUN! 😊🎉

✨ Magical Monday at Grangewood ✨

What a lovely day we’ve had! 🥰 We started with a little shopping trip with our wonderful Fred 🛍️, followed by cuppas, treats and good company in our rooftop Cafe’☕🍰.

We finished the day perfectly with our cosy Knit & Natter 🧶💕 plenty of chatting, laughter and friendship.

Just another magical Monday making memories together at Grangewood. 💜✨
