Be Good to Yourself

Recorded on a peaceful spring morning in London, this deeply reflective episode explores the hidden forces that prevent people from finding peace, happiness, and balance in their lives.

As birds gather in the garden, roses bloom beneath purple wisteria, and London breathes calmly beneath blue skies, Darbari reflects on a simple but powerful truth:

Nature fulfils its duty every day.
Do we fulfil ours?

Drawing upon the wisdom of the Guru Granth Sahib, he introduces the concept of the Five Thieves — the inner forces that quietly steal human peace and goodness:

* Kām — Uncontrolled Desire
* Krodh — Anger
* Lobh — Greed
* Moh — Attachment
* Hankār — Ego

These “Five Thieves,” he explains, weaken discipline, destroy peace, and prevent people from becoming the best version of themselves.

In this episode, listeners are encouraged to become:

* Their own policeman
* Their own judge
* Their own protector

By learning to recognise and control the destructive habits within.

The episode also explores:

* Why being good to yourself is not selfish
* How stress quietly damages modern life
* The importance of Positive Mental Attitude (PMA)
* The role of discipline, boundaries, and self-respect
* Why strong individuals create strong families and societies
* The growing vision behind Baron’s Faith Farm (BFF)

Baron’s Faith Farm is a nonreligious, nonpolitical, nonaligned spiritual movement dedicated to creating peaceful spaces where people can reconnect with goodness, nature, and themselves.

Darbari also invites listeners to help shape the future of the movement by becoming Ambassadors of Goodness and helping locate the first Baron’s Faith Farm property.

As The Gardener reminds us:

“If we do not imprison the Five Thieves… they will imprison us.”

Plant the seed.
Strengthen yourself.
Let goodness begin with you.

In Episode 16 of the Baron’s Faith Farm Podcast, The Gardener, introduces the Second Principle of Goodness: Be a Good Citizen.

Broadcast from London, a city he describes as a place that has given him safety, dignity, and a home for many decades, Darbari reflects on the deeper meaning of citizenship.

True citizenship, he explains, is not defined by passports, borders, or flags. It is defined by our daily habits, our dignity, and the respect we show to the places and people around us.

Through simple but powerful examples—such as spending a few minutes each day cleaning the streets around us—he reminds us that small acts of responsibility can transform not only our communities, but also our own hearts.

In this episode you will discover:

• Why citizenship begins in the heart
• How personal habits shape the health of a society
• Why caring for your neighbourhood is an act of dignity
• How small acts of goodness can influence an entire community
• The vision behind Baron’s Faith Farm (BFF) — a place where people will live and practise the Five Principles of Goodness together

Baron’s Faith Farm is a nonreligious, nonpolitical, nonaligned spiritual movement built on a simple belief:

When individuals become better than yesterday, society becomes better tomorrow.

As The Gardener reminds us:

“When you carry dignity, you spread dignity.”

Plant the seed.
Be a good citizen.
Let goodness grow.

Recorded in London on a rain-soaked January morning, Episode 14 of Baron’s Faith Farm carries a quiet message with powerful consequences.

As parrots gather in the garden and the greenery prepares itself like a young bride before her wedding day, “The Gardner” begins sharing the first of the Five Principles of Goodness:

Be Good to Yourself.

In this deeply personal episode, the Gardner reflects on a life-changing moment in 1966 when he survived drowning in Richmond, Surrey — an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to service.

He explains why most suffering begins when we forget to treat ourselves with care, discipline, and responsibility — and why being good to yourself is not selfish, but foundational.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

Why self-respect leads to better decisions
Practical daily habits for peace, health, and stability
How budgeting creates clarity and control
Why responsibility builds stronger relationships
What real strength truly means
How thinking before acting protects future generations

Baron’s Faith Farm (BFF) is a nonreligious, nonpolitical, nonaligned spiritual movement dedicated to sowing the seeds of goodness wherever we go.

This episode is the beginning of that journey.

Today, do one thing that is good for you.

Plant the seed.
