What a lovely, cosy afternoon we enjoyed here at the home 💛

With soft slippers, warm smiles, and everyone dressed in their pyjamas, comfort was the theme of the day. The lounge felt brighter than usual, filled with a gentle buzz as residents came together to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

It was made even more special as family members joined us, bringing laughter, stories, and plenty of smiles. The highlight had to be the grandchildren – true little rays of sunshine! One even took to the microphone and sang beautifully, with lots of clapping and a few residents happily joining in.

Add in some delicious cakes, and it really was an afternoon full of warmth, joy, and togetherness.

Our celebration was a wonderful afternoon and residents were delighted with our fantastic entertainer, who joined us to sing some beautiful songs 🍀🎶

Residents and relatives sang along and clapped their hands as they enjoyed the lively atmosphere

We celebrated Mothering Sunday at Ashgrove with our wonderful residents for a truly heartwarming afternoon 🩷

The lounge was filled with smiles as residents gathered together
with our care team to enjoy this special day!

Our lovely Clinical Lead helped lead a sing-along and soon the whole room joined in filling the home with music, laughter and making memories

A beautiful display of photos was set up so residents could share and talk about treasured pictures.

It was touching to see everyone reminiscing and telling stories about people they love and of course no celebration is complete
without love in the air!

We celebrated in style at Ashgrove care home, filled with laughter, warm conversations and a delicious freshly baked cake 🍰

Everyone shared stories about the remarkable women in their lives, whether that be friends, mothers, grandmothers, sisters or colleagues

Some residents spoke about their younger days recalling memories of work and family and the many changes they have seen through the years

Our Nurses and Carers joined in the celebration taking a well deserved moment to relax and enjoy the cake alongside the residents they care for everyday 🧡

We had some great Valentine's Day celebrations over the weekend! 🩷

The afternoon entertainment commenced with lively karoke music and had residents and colleagues singing along.

We also served an afternoon tea cake and indulged in some delicious homemade scones lovingly made by relative, Maddie

It was a beautiful get-together and a great way to celebrate love in all shapes and sizes!

Yesterday, we had a truly enchanting afternoon enjoying the Cinderella Pantomime Magic Show, presented by the fabulous Tickled Pink Productions 🎭

From the moment the performers stepped on stage, the room was filled with laughter, sparkle and pure joy.

Residents enjoyed the fantastic performances and admired the gorgeous costumes worn by the entertainers.

A big thank you to the amazing Tickled Pink team for bringing so much magic and joy, and to our lovely residents, their families and our team for making the afternoon so special.

Our Christmas Celebration 2025 was a truly magical day 🎄✨

From beautiful festive decorations created by our wonderful Wellbeing Team, to delicious food and drinks prepared by our talented chef, every detail helped make the day special. Residents were dressed up and full of smiles, families joined in the celebrations, and Peter Thomas entertained everyone with lovely live music.

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful children from Beaver Community Primary School to Ashgrove Care Home for a heart-warming afternoon of Christmas carols 🎄🎶

Their beautiful singing filled our home with festive cheer and brought so many smiles to residents’ faces. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the carols — and even joining in for a cheerful sing-along!

We were filled with festive cheer at Ashgrove Care Home as the Little Star Choir visited to sing beautiful Christmas carols 🎄✨

Their lovely voices brought warmth, joy and the true spirit of the season into our home. Residents, families and staff joined in, singing along with smiling faces and joyful hearts. The room was full of laughter, music and togetherness — a truly special moment for everyone.

We had a wonderful celebration at Ashgrove as everyone came together to mark Gordon’s 90th birthday, a truly special milestone!

Residents, friends, and Gordon’s partner Terry enjoyed an afternoon filled with memories, laughter, delicious food, and a beautiful birthday cake. There were plenty of photos, lots of singing (including a cheerful “Happy Birthday” from carers), and so much joy in the room.

Gordon said it had been “a beautiful day”, and his smile said it all. 💛✨
