📦 The larder has been restocked! 💚

Our monthly FareShare delivery has arrived, bringing another great selection of goodies for our Community Larder.

Our lovely volunteer Christiane has been busy unpacking, organising and getting everything onto the shelves ready for you to help yourselves. 🥰

A huge thank you to FareShare for their continued support, and to all our wonderful volunteers who keep the larder running.

As always, the Community Larder is open 24/7 and is there for anyone in our community who needs it. Take what you need, and if you’re able, leave something for someone else. ❤️

Remembering Ian.

We’re sharing this notice for anyone in our community who would like to pay their respects to Ian Fraser, who sadly passed away peacefully at home last week.

Ian was a much-loved member of the Foyers community, and we know many of our members will want to attend his funeral and say goodbye.

The funeral ceremony will take place on Thursday 10th September at 2pm at D. Chisholm & Sons Funeral Home, Huntly Street, Inverness. All are welcome to attend.

Our thoughts are with Lorraine, Jacquie, Alasdair and all of Ian’s family and friends at this sad time.

FRASER

📚 Book Club is back! 📚

After our summer break, our lovely Book Club is getting together again tomorrow evening and this time there’s no book to review! 😄

Instead, we’re having a catch-up and chatting about what we’ve all been reading over the summer. Our Book Club is very relaxed and informal. We choose our books together, have a chat about what we’ve read, and very often end up talking about films, TV shows and all sorts of other things too!

There’s never any pressure to have read a book (or even to finish one!) it’s simply a lovely group of people getting together for a chat. ❤️

📖 Tomorrow (Thursday 27th) From 7pm
📍 The Hub

Everyone is very welcome whether you’re a regular bookworm, an occasional reader, or just fancy coming along for a cuppa and a chat.

Come and join us! 🌿

🚗 Could you help keep our community moving? 💚

We’re desperately looking for more volunteer drivers for our Community Transport Scheme.

Recently, we’ve had to let people down who needed transport to essential medical appointments simply because we didn’t have enough available drivers. Even Rachel and I are now helping with journeys whenever we can, but we really need more people to join our driver team.

You don’t need to commit to lots of hours - even one journey a month would make a massive difference.

Mileage expenses are covered, and you’ll be helping local people get to the appointments and services they need.

One journey might not feel like much to you, but to someone who has no other way of getting there, it can mean everything.

If you think you could help, please get in touch with us. 💚

💙💛Taking support where it’s needed💛💙

What a great piece from STV highlighting the incredible work of Mikeysline and their mobile Hive vans, bringing vital su***de prevention and mental health support out into rural communities across the Highlands.

We’re very lucky to have Kirsty from Mikeysline regularly join us for our Midweek Mingle. It was lovely to see The Hub, our members and Mingle featured as part of this piece.

Their presence makes such a difference, creating a relaxed, welcoming space where people can chat, connect and access support when they need it.

Thank you to everyone at Mikeysline for the wonderful work you do, and for continuing to bring that support into our rural communities. 💚
