Scrapbooking, junk journalling, collage or what ever you decide to call it…. It’s really good fun isn’t it!! 🤩 Capturing moments and memories to loo back on in years to come.

Day 21 of a craft a day for June isn’t about something I’m making…. It’s about inspiration.

I wanted to share some of the artwork that inspires people every day in Nook.

And here’s something you might not know…

Most of the watercolours on the walls were painted by my dad.

After my mum passed away a few years ago, he took up painting again. Since then, I’ve quietly helped myself to quite a few pieces from his hallway gallery and they’ve found a new home in Nook.

I love that his artwork now inspires creativity in other people too.

These paintings have become part of Nook’s story and a daily reminder of where some of my own creative inspiration comes from.

So for Father’s Day, today’s post is a thank you to Dad, the artist behind many of the paintings you see around Nook.

💀🌹😍 How cool is this material 👌 I decided to make it even cooler by adding embellishments to make the pattern stand out! Beads, buttons, threads and a lovely relaxed time sewing away with no plan or agenda.

It came together just as I wanted it too and I’m really delighted with it!

Nature 🌿and ink 🫟 inspired day 19’s craft!
A simple card with ink impressed onto natural paper with grasses.

The natural stamps are so delicate and pretty. Nature inspires so much creativity 🌿

I will definitely do this again to see what beautiful markings nature makes!

Day 18 of a craft a day for June brings some more canvas art! This time using a glue gun. Very simple, different and effective.

There is a variation on this I’d like to attempt at a future date, so watch for that incoming.

Along side the daily cuppa and create sessions there is a growing list of workshops and classes!

The “Together Time Summer Sessions” are perfect for creative together time (with no clearing up!! 🥳) suitable for kids aged 10 and over accompanied by parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends! Available throughout July and August!

All classes are bookable online, cuppa always included, fun pretty much guaranteed, with added creative relaxation!! 🥰

Playing catch up form yesterday! So here is today’s craft for day 17 of a craft a day for June! 🪡 Can you guess what it is yet? 🤓

I have never done a hand sewn card before, that I remember anyway! It was a different thing to do and although the finished article was a bit scrappy, I learnt lots and I’d take a wee but more time next time, but there will absolutely be a next time as I really enjoyed it!!

Ok, so I said a craft a day but I never said I’d manage to post them every day 🤭 playing catch up but I will post two today!!

Today was playing with watercolour for something which I the. Realised I can’t reveal yet 🤦🏼‍♀️ so part 2 incoming soon!!

I loved playing with this and totally zoned out when I was doodling!! So good for the soul!!

And this was so fun to make, have had this on my list for AGES 🤩 I am totally going to make more … what other ones should I make? I’m definitely doing an imposter syndrome warrior one for me!!!!
