I've just finished writing our Twelfth Crystal Moon article and I'm smiling at the elegance of it all.

Every year I understand these cycles more deeply. Not intellectually, but through living them.

The further I move from mechanical ideas of time and into relationship with living time, the harder it becomes to ignore what is unfolding around me.

The Moons add the dimension of emotionality to our galaxy.
As cycles of emotional visioning and becoming, they give us sensuous purpose.

They are part of the deeper architecture and orchestra through which life unfolds.

The outgoing Spectral Moon brought liberation. It loosened old identities, old patterns of efforting, old places where we were still trying to create from woundedness rather than wholeness.

And now, exactly as the cycle suggests, comes cooperation.
Not cooperation as compromise.
Cooperation as participation.

The sense that life itself is moving and coming together through the spaces that liberation created.

GrowFree is growing.
People are finding one another.
The land is gathering community.

Projects that have existed for years in vision are finding their way into form with a level of ease and synchrony that feels profoundly different to how creation once had to move through me.

Because I am constantly and organically evolving and participating more consciously.

There is something beautiful about watching creation happen.

The birds know it.
The clover knows it.
The fungal networks beneath the forest floor know it.
The rivers know it.

Creation has always been collaborative.
The illusion was that we were ever doing it alone.

The Crystal Moon reminds us that freedom is not the end of the journey.

It is what allows us to consciously take our place within the larger living whole.

And from where I'm sitting right now, that every singing, growing, winging, burrowing, flowering part of this whole feels very much alive indeed. ✨

🌿 Last week we held two very deep and beautiful days of Together in Nature.

🌧️💛 Somewhere between the rain, the wind, the cake, the grief, the laughter and the deep moments of human honesty… something beautiful happened again this weekend.

Together in Nature was probably the wettest and coldest immersion we’ve held so far — and somehow the weather became part of the teaching.

We found ourselves moving with the stormier, heavier and more tender parts of being human… huddled together at times in the Arcade Tent Craig heroically rescued from storage at the last minute 🙏 … and then emerging back out into sunlight, playfulness, warmth and connection.

And once again, I was reminded why we stopped calling these “workshops”.

That word never quite fit.

We’re creating a community here — one that is learning together.

It felt real.
Not polished.
Not performative.
Just people willing to arrive as they are and meet each other there.

I continue to be deeply moved by what happens when human beings are given space to slow down, attune, and remember they don’t have to carry everything alone.

And with my whole heart … I adore the team I get to do this with.

Huge love to Jon and Heidi — and to every person who stepped into this space with us over the weekend. We really do delight in each person who joins these gatherings.

There’s already interest building for the next immersion in October, and we’re now beginning to weave together the ongoing online side of the community too — so the relationships and exploration can continue between gatherings.

Heidi and I are also dreaming up some more regular monthly Together in Nature days — practical nature-based community gatherings where this work sits more quietly in the background:
shared tasks, fires, growing, creativity, conversation, being human together 🌿

Looking like there will be a few of us around tomorrow.

I collected some of the fruit bushes today. The nursery are gathering the rest of them and the trees to be collected when we can.

I've started planning out a beautiful and accessible layout.

Here’s what I’ve been noticing in people these last few months …
A sense of wide opening —
new ideas, new possibilities, new directions beginning to take shape
…and at the same time,
a deep tiredness from everything we’ve been holding and processing.

I feel this. I’m living through this too.
I know these times are requesting a lot of us.
Whether we are aware of it or not, we’re releasing a long collective dive into darkness as we remember the light.
It’s part of why I’ve shaped my work the way I have.

What I’ve come to trust is this:
We don’t find our way again by pushing harder.
We find it by reconnecting —
to our bodies
to each other
to the wider intelligence of the natural world

Together in Nature has grown from that understanding.
A space where learning doesn’t just happen through ideas —
but through being, sensing, relating, and experiencing.

🌿 On May 15–16, we’re gathering in Aberdeenshire for a 2-day immersion.
A small group.
A relational space.
Time outdoors, in practice, in conversation, in quiet moments too.

There are just 2 places left now.
The group that’s forming feels almost complete but I feel another couple of people hovering in the field.

Sometimes the work we offer is the path we’ve had to walk ourselves … everything we're offering now has come from a very lived place.

Not only have our practitioners sat with so many people — in 1–1 work, in groups, in community — who have lived through and been quietly holding a lot.
They have lived through the same themselves.

And now — in these monumental times — it can feel like we’re releasing and reclaiming everything.
That requires us to be known and resourced by something bigger than we thought we were – individually and collectively.

Over time, what’s become clear to me is this:
We don’t need more fixing.
We need spaces where we can be met, resourced, and brought back into relationship —
with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
________________________________________

Together in Nature has grown out of that.
Not as a “training” in the traditional sense —
but as a living learning space where we can practice attunement, connection, and space-holding in real, human ways.
________________________________________

🌿 On May 15–16 (Aberdeenshire) we’re gathering for a 2-day immersion.
It will be:
• grounded and practical
• gently restorative
• playful in places
• and willing to meet the deeper edges too
A space to:
• reconnect with your own nervous system
• explore how we attune to others
• and remember the natural world as a conscious source of support and regulation

We're starting to design the GrowFree site and making sure to listen to all the voices, elements and beings involved.

We want to make sure this is a whole system that offers shelter, wellbeing and growth for all visitors and inhabitants.

🌿 Something is beginning to take root…

Over the past few months, we’ve been gently starting to shape an 8–10 acre piece of land near Kemnay into a herbal & woodland learning landscape — a place for growing, making, learning, and being together in nature.

We’re now entering the early stages of a permaculture design process, which means we’re not rushing into fixed plans — instead, we’re listening carefully:
to the land,
to the patterns and more-than-human beings already present,
and to the people who feel called to be part of it.

Alongside developing perennial herb growing and small-scale processing, we’re exploring possibilities for:
• outdoor education
• wellbeing practices
• community gatherings
• shared and individual growing spaces
• new ways of collaborating and stewarding land together

We’d love to open this up a little and invite local people to come and:
🌱 see the land
🌱 hear more about the vision
🌱 learn about the design process we’re beginning
🌱 share your thoughts, ideas, or simply your curiosity

Whether you’re interested in growing, teaching, wellbeing, or just curious about a project like this — you’re very welcome.
