💜🏃‍♀️ RACE FOR LIFE 2026 🏃‍♂️💜

This Sunday, a group of our amazing Slimming World members and myself will be taking part in Race for Life, and we’d love your support!

For many of us, this is way outside our comfort zone. Whether it’s walking, jogging, or running, taking part is about so much more than crossing the finish line. It’s about building activity into our lives, challenging ourselves, and making the behaviour and mindset changes that help us not only reach our target weight but stay healthy and slim for life.

Every step we take on Sunday represents the confidence, determination, and healthy habits we’ve been working hard to build on our weight-loss journeys.

We’re also raising money for a fantastic cause, so if you’d like to sponsor us, any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated. Your support will help motivate us every step of the way while contributing to life-saving cancer research.

💖 The Power of Support 💖

Today was a fantastic reminder of just how important support is, not only for our members but for us as Consultants too.

I spent the day with my wonderful slimming world friend and colleague, Shepperton and Ashford Slimming World with Maria, sharing ideas, encouraging each other, and strengthening our roles within our groups. Sometimes, having someone who truly understands the challenges and rewards of what we do can make all the difference.

We talked, planned, laughed, and motivated one another, leaving the day feeling inspired and even more determined to help our members achieve their dreams.

And of course, we enjoyed a delicious fully optimised 3-course vegan meal, cooked by the beautiful Maria, all completely on plan! 🍽️✨ Proof that healthy eating never means missing out.

Support is at the heart of everything we do at Slimming World. Whether it’s from your Consultant, your fellow members, friends, family, or colleagues, having people around you who lift you up can make your journey so much easier and more enjoyable.

🏃‍♀️ First run in my new trainers completed! 👟✨

Today was a big milestone for me, not only was it the first run in my new trainers, but it was also my first time running in many years as I start preparing for Race for Life on 21st June. 🩷

I’ll be honest, the first step was definitely the scariest. It’s so easy to talk yourself out of trying something when it’s been a long time, but nothing changes if we don’t take that first step. That’s how progress happens with one step, one choice, one run at a time.

Was I the fastest? No. Did I run the whole way? That’s not the point. What matters is that I got out there and did it. 💪

Today reminded me that we are all capable of more than we think, and sometimes the biggest achievement is simply having the courage to start.

Race for Life, here I come! 🏃‍♀️✨

8 weeks from now, you’ll either be glad you started today… or wishing you had.

✨ Food Optimising is all about balance ✨

So last weekend I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea ☕🍰 and made sure I really savoured every bite. In the past, I might have written the whole week off after a treat like this, but one of the biggest things I’ve learned on my Slimming World journey is that one meal doesn’t define my progress.

Instead of feeling guilty, I focused on what I could control before this meal and for the rest of the week. That meant having a filling protein packed breakfast before I went so I wasn’t ravenous, eating to satisfy my appetite at the afternoon tea and not overindulging for the sake of it and most importantly getting back to Food Optimising at my next meal. Carrying on with the healthy habits that help me feel my best, filling up on plenty of Speed Foods and staying hydrated.

Weight loss isn’t about being perfect every single day – it’s about finding a balance that works in real life. Special occasions, meals out, and treats are all part of life, and learning how to enjoy them without letting them derail your goals is a huge win. 💪

So last weekend I chose enjoyment without guilt, and the rest of my week as my usual Food Optimising routine. Progress over perfection, every time! When you let go of the guilt it’s empowering what you can achieve ❤️

First BBQ of the year and it doesn’t have to mean coming off plan 🙌🔥
Loaded my plate with plenty of Speed Free Food alongside the grilled goodies. Tomatoes, cucumber, salad, beetroot, peppers, onions and baby potatoes helped keep everything balanced and satisfying 😍🌽🥗

The BBQ padron peppers were such a good little Speed Free Food nibble before the food was ready too 🌶️ Far better than reaching for high swip crisps while waiting for the grill!

Proof you can still enjoy a tasty BBQ, feel included, and stay fully on plan 💪❤️
