Its been busy and with the added heat, things can feel 'extra' hot and heavy. We don't always see it, we can certainly feel it, but that doesn't mean we need to be stuck with it

When do we notice we are carrying more than we should/ need to? Does it all belong to us?

How can we unpack that? Counselling can be a start.

This week has reminded me of a story I once came across 'The Back Pack Story'.

Its Mental Health Awareness week and this year's theme is take ACTION.

Over recent years there has been more movement in talking about mental health.

For those who may not know where to start? 'Take action' to look after yourself is a starting point. Taking small steps can have a big impact
๐Ÿ’ญ Getting enough sleep
๐Ÿ’ญ Talking with someone you know or trust
๐Ÿ’ญ Taking the time for yourself to 'check in'

Action helps us take the right steps to do something that can bring change, it can help our decision making and overall helps us to get talking about it. Put the kettle on, have a chat, even if it is with yourself.

A space to discuss thoughts, feelings and look to see what is going on in your life, or how you can be impacted by others.

A space to understand root causes that lead to unhelpful patterns that may have been used as a way of coping.

This is a space to talk, 'vent' and unpick your day, cry or laugh- so much can be shared.

Talking with someone can help recognise why you feel a certain way and figure out what you want to do with it, in a safe space to do so.
