Help us as we make one last push on our fundraising campaign for Growing Well . From 4-11 June we journeyed 80 miles across the Lakes. As well as being joined by 5 horses, 5 dogs and over 18 humans on the way, we were spreading awareness for the incredible work that Growing Well does: helping those in need through gardening. Sprint Mill - Sizergh

Thank you to Steve Scott and Kendal Mountain Festival for joining us on our last day as we made our way through Kendal. Thank you to BBC North East and Cumbria for the interview and thank you to Edward, Romola, Flo, Jim, Grace and Sam for allowing us to stay at Sprint Mill. Thank you to everyone at Growing Well at Sizergh for the delicious welcome and the warming supper. We made it!

Kentmere Hall - Sprint Mill

Thank you to the Sharpe family for letting us stay in the lovely barn at Kentmere Hall. Thank you to everyone at Wilf’s Cafe for putting up with us and serving a delicious lunch! We had a lovely journey over the Three Rivers, through Staveley and then on to the incredible Sprint Mill. After putting the horses into a field of lovely grass and goats we had a great swim and a talk given by Growing Well. Thank you to Edward, Romola, Flo, Jim, Grace and Sam.

Rydal Hall - Kentmere Hall

Thank you Hog for letting the horses stay in your field. Thank you for having us to stay in your cosy bunkhouse and for the breakfast in the morning. A big hug to Ian Penny for the cup of tea and biscuits (we hope you enjoyed your first ride) and thank you to Jim Sharpe and the family for letting us stay in your barn at the beautiful Kentmere Hall. Happy birthday! We travelled through busy Ambleside before heading out into the open once more - we made our way round Jenkyn’s Crag, then on to Troubeck before climbing over Garburn Pass. Seeing the Kentmere valley from the top was a magical sight.

Little Langdale - Rydal Hall

A big hug to for letting us stay at wonderful Fell Foot farm. Not only did we enjoy a night of guitar playing, Whisky and singing in the candle lit barn, but we had our daily yoga session on a Viking Ting! Thank you to .cafe for letting us raid you on a busy day with horses and humans for lunch and Hog for letting us keep the remaining two horses with you overnight. Thank you to for opening up your cosy bunkhouse for us and for the perfect supper. Today we journeyed from Little Langdale past Blea Tarn (with a quick swim!) through Great Langdale and on along Loughrigg Terrace. Amazing views through Viking and Wordsworth country!

Boot - Little Langdale

A huge thank you to everyone at The Woolpack Inn for the beer, pizza and breakfast - and thank you for letting us camp with the horses. Thank you to for letting us stay in the barn at the magical Fell Foot Farm and for and Harvey for cooking up a delicious BBQ on our arrival (after a wee swim in the tarn). Another special day - a wonderful historic route along the Roman Hardknott pass.

A huge thank you to Euan and the whole family at Muncaster Castle for letting us stay, and for the lovely send off. Thank you to the amazing team at The Woolpack Inn in Boot for such a lovely night stop. Thank you for letting us join in on the annual beer festival. A magical green and sunny day walking along the historic Esk trail.

Nether Wasdale - Muncaster Castle

A huge thank you to David Hannah the farrier who came to the rescue, to Alistair from Home Farm at Muncaster for allowing us to keep our horses with you, and all the family at Muncaster Castle for letting us stay! We had a beautiful day travelling over the hills towards the sea. We weaved along the La’al Ratty train track and rode onto the beach before heading to the castle for the open mic night!
