There were plenty of smiles, a few new dance moves, and more than enough tea and cake to go around at our Dancing for Dementia tea dances this week 💃🕺
Our Solihull and Knowle and Dorridge Memory Cafés brought people together for music, laughter, conversation, and some brilliant live performances from Aura Dance Studios.
Lynne from Aura Dance Studios got everyone involved with line dancing, while Libbi and Eden had the whole room watching in awe with two fantastic performances. Before long, plenty of people were up on their feet joining in and showing off their own moves! 🪩
At our Solihull event, it was also wonderful to welcome the Mayor of Solihull, Sardul Marwa MBE, and Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP, who both joined in with the fun and even took to the dance floor
We're also so grateful to Tesco Knowle for kindly donating cakes and baked treats for both events, and to Solihull Indoor Bowls Club for being such wonderful hosts throughout the morning ☕
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along and helped raise money for Dementia UK and Alzheimer's Society. It was a lovely reminder of what a supportive community we have 💙
