A guide to cacao đż
Cacao has been drunk in ceremony and celebration for centuries. Its botanical name, Theobroma, is Greek for âfood of the godsâ. Swipe through to find out where it comes from, whatâs in the cup and why we use it at our gatherings.
The cacao we serve is Full Power Cacao: 100% single-origin raw cacao from Sur del Lago in Venezuela, independently lab tested for purity and heavy metals.
Itâs a natural source of magnesium, which helps reduce tiredness and fatigue, and contains theobromine, a gentle relative of caffeine.
But cacao is about more than whatâs in it. A ceremony is a chance to slow down, set an intention and connect with yourself and the people around you.
Join Liam for cacao ceremonies at The Shift on Saturday 1 May 2027, in the Kent countryside. Tickets via the link in our bio.
Save this post for later and share it with someone whoâd love a cup â¨
Cacao contains a little natural caffeine. If youâre pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or sensitive to caffeine, check with your GP before drinking a ceremonial serving.
