Just a little something I'm working on along side the Samhain and Yule Sabbat boxes 😊

Still 16 more rows to go, but these are always gorgeous when finished.. this will be going off to a family friend ready for their new baby, while its not baby size, the idea of them is so mum or dad and baby can snuggle together under it, or baby can have tummy time on the floor on it and they'll grow into it and be able to continue to use it through child and adulthood. A life long memory for child and parents 💜

🕯️ The Witch’s Blanket 🕯️

There is something deeply magical about making a blanket by hand.

Every stitch holds a moment.
Every thread carries intention.
Every row becomes a little piece of the person who made it.

A blanket made for a baby can become something far more precious than something to keep them warm. It can become a living memory keeper—growing alongside them as they grow.

As a baby, it might be wrapped around them while they sleep.
As a child, it might become their comfort on difficult nights, their fort during adventures, or the thing they reach for when they need to feel safe.

As they grow older, it carries the energy of all those years.

The laughter.
The tears.
The celebrations.
The quiet nights.
The cuddles.
The illnesses.
The adventures.
The people who loved them.

And because it was made stitch by stitch, by human hands, there is intention woven into every part of it.

In witchcraft, we often speak about objects holding energy and memories. A handmade blanket is almost perfect for this. It is touched constantly, wrapped around the body, carried from place to place and present through so many chapters of a life.

You could even choose the colours and yarn with intention.
