Morning Reset | Be Kind to Yourself - We can often be our own harshest inner critic, judging ourselves more strongly than we would judge others.

In this short practice, you’re invited to pause, take a slow breath, and offer yourself the same kindness you would give to a friend. You might even gently pat yourself on the back and acknowledge that you made it through today.

Small moments of self-compassion can help reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm.

I invite you to be kind and patient with yourself.

Why I Had to Rewrite Chapter 1 of My Book

After finishing my last book The Storms We Survive, I went straight into writing another one. Looking back now, I think I was in a bit of an ADHD rush. The ideas were flowing and I was excited to begin again, but I was concerned if I continued at a fast pace that I may go into burnout.

So I stepped away from the new book for a while.
When I came back to it, I realised something important. ADHD is still widely misunderstood. Many people assume that everyone experiences these things and don’t realise how deeply they can affect someone’s life.

That realisation made me look again at Chapter 1. If this book is going to help people feel understood, the opening needs to explain these experiences clearly and honestly.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been rewriting that chapter, and for the first time I finally feel really pleased with how it reads.

The book is called:

ADHD in Women
Letting Go of Self-Doubt and Embracing Who You Are

I’m writing it because so many women spend years blaming themselves for struggles they were never given the language to understand.

Here is a small excerpt from the opening chapter:

"There were other times when I wasn’t physically exhausted, yet I still felt stuck.

At times it felt like being frozen in place. I could see everything that needed doing around me, yet I couldn’t start."

If this resonates with you, feel free to leave a ❤️ or 👍 below.
And if you’ve ever had your experiences misunderstood or dismissed before you had the words to explain them, I’d love to hear from you.
