We’ll then be closed for the weekend.

Emily and Lewis are both working away, and with things a little quieter than usual we’ve decided to rest the sauna for a few days rather than keep her burning to empty benches.

Sorry for any disruption, we’d love to see you for a sauna and a plunge before we close up. Come get cosy while you can 🌊

Things have been a little quiet on here since the crowdfunder closed and for good reason. We’ve been taking stock, making plans behind the scenes and giving ourselves a bit of a break from social media too.

We’re open as normal this week, so come say hi! I’m (Emily) off doing massage at a festival next week, so watch this space for hours.

We hit our target.

ÂŁ10,305 raised for Free Saunas for Health, thank you to everyone who backed us.

Here’s what happens next. Once the money clears (Crowdfunder take their cut first), we’ll organise our first charity outreach session. We’re already partnering with a few charities (more on that soon) and we’re open to meeting more. Know a charity whose community could use free sauna sessions? Please tell us.

There’s a version of this post that lists all the clinical stats on why sauna helps. Cortisol this, cardiovascular that. Of course that’s all true, it’s all easily googleable and listed on our crowdfunder page if you want it.

But here’s the plainer truth.

Many of the people who’d get the most out of this place, are the least likely to walk through the door. That might be because they can’t afford it. Because getting out of the house feels like a mammoth task. Because when you’re burnt out, or grieving, or living with pain that never quite switches off, a sauna feels like something for other people.

We don’t think it should be.

That’s why we’re raising £10,000 - to fund free sessions for people referred through the NHS social prescribing scheme and to make the site easier to reach for anyone who finds it hard right now. New parents in the thick of it. People managing anxiety, chronic pain or the kind of loneliness. Folk who just need somewhere warm to land for an hour.

That’s our why.

This is an all-or-nothing fundraiser, so if we don’t hit £10k by 6th August, we get none of it.

We’re now almost 84% there and we’ve been blown away by your generosity!

We’re bringing the heat to Field of Dreams Festival🔥 (this weekend Fri 31 July - Sun 2 Aug)

Come sweat out your sins, soothe those aching dance-floor muscles and cold plunge the hangover away.

To give you another reason to dance, this festi weekend marks our FIRST BIRTHDAY. One whole year of steam, sweat and this ridiculous, wonderful community. We can’t quite believe how quickly it’s gone.

Find us in the field of dreams, we’ll be the warmest thing at the festival that isn’t the dance tent.

The Bantham Swoosh 🏊‍♀️ 6km swim down the River Avon, from Aveton Gifford to the beach organised by the amazing

They give children with disabilities the opportunity to learn to swim. From physical development to social and emotional confidence, Level Water sees swimming as a vehicle to change their lives for the better. The money raised at the Swoosh helps fund this amazing initiative.

Emily got to meet the first two out of the water, and invited them into the sauna to warm up.

We’re on all weekend if you fancy joining us. Drop in for a sauna and we’ll ask you to chip in to our crowdfunder which pays for free sessions, so people suffering from low mental health, chronic pain, loneliness and might never usually get to a sauna can.
