ITS NEVER TO LATE TO START- You are capable of so much more than you think!
The body is a amazing machine , adapts to exercise very quickly.
It adapts through a rewiring of the nervous system & physiological changes .

Exercise creates micro traumas & chemical stress . But this doesn’t happen whilst working out .
It happens when we rest , that’s why resting days are important.
When we have rest days the body builds the muscle & repairs the tissue / trauma & chemical stress .
So each time you get stronger ( if your consistent )

I workout 4 times a week . That ensures I get 3 days rest .
My rest days incorporate recovery activities ie walking , gentle bike rides , yoga/stretching.

I also ensure I eat enough protein daily , magnesium supplements for muscle recovery & to help with sleep & I also take creatine which helps with muscle recovery, growth & cognitive function & ensure I drink enough water (electrolytes when needed )

Good morning lovely peeps ❤️ Happy Monday …..

A busy day ahead today ……. I woke up at 2.35am & couldn’t get back off to sleep until around 5am then woke at 7.35am so not a great sleep.

So usually it’s upper body day at the gym this morning, but I’m working out from home , just a short upper body weight workout instead & some stretching as I do feel tight this morning from the bike ride yesterday 😂

I’ll probably have a longer walk with Toby today too!

It’s important to listen to your body & what it needs .

Then I’m off to pick up some of my exercise mats & take them to St James church for my new Friday class.

Also taking some more posters & leaflets around Hull today to advertise.

All in-between housework & shopping .
Need to fill our fridge up , we often go on a Monday evening as it’s much quieter. I hate food shopping but needs must , gotta fill that fridge up with healthy stuff.

Anyway I’ll stop babbling on lol

Have a lovely Sunday my keep fit buddies 😂❤️

What you all upto today ?

Weekends for us are to try & get jobs done in the house & garden unless we are going away in our caravan or having our grandchildren stay over .

Yesterday we got quite a bit of work done in the house & garden so today we are going for a walk with Toby early this morning before it gets too warm then we are off on a bike 🚴 ride .

Not sure where we are going yet on either lol but we will see …….

Good morning 😊 Happy Saturday……..

I was super chuffed at the gym yesterday when someone said that they noticed quite a bit of muscle definition in my lats , traps & arm muscles!

Sorry but had to share because honestly I felt great afterwards because you don’t always notice your own gains .

Seeing & noticing some muscle definition can get quite addictive in a good way. It spurs you on to keep going .

I do feel a lot stronger in every day life, not just physically but mentally too!

So my hard work is paying off …….. constancy wins the game! 💪💪💪

PLEASE READ- I feel so passionate on educating others about exercise and how much it can help those of us with physical ailments.

My goal is to try & break down barriers & misconceptions around exercise , and especially for those who are unsure & even afraid to try due to their health conditions, which I can fully understand due to my own experiences.

It is scary , you feel afraid that exercise may make it worse or that your going to feel this way forever.

My aim is to help people feel more confident & reassured that improving their health is within reach .

I really care about making exercise accessible to everyone.

I take pride in helping people understand these benefits in a way that feels achievable & not overwhelming.

It can’t go without saying tho that it’s important to talk with your doctor before starting any kind of exercise , especially if you have any health concerns.

Exercise is not a cure but can most definitely help.

It’s also important to always listen to your body , rest when needed & start slow with any exercise, slow wins the race .

You are responsible for your health & what you do about it .
