Walking & Support group

Hi my name is Hayley, I have created this group for women of all ages, who want to take part in local mindful walking events in the HU6 area.

01/06/2026

I'm still hopeful we can get a little group of ladies together for some regular walks, litter picks and ventures up to the two community gardens we have. Rainbow garden just off Endike lane is a lovely place to go relax, help out, plant some fruit & veggies. There's also hope allotments on Thorpe park rd which I've not yet visited but they welcome anyone 😊 Also there's Queeny park which is a nice big open space to walk, and a great hotspot for elderberries in the later months (for any of you ladies who like to forage 😉)

All suggestions are very welcome. I'm just trying to create something positive for anyone who's feeling lonely, isolated, unwell and in need of motivation to go on little walks, meet new people and build back confidence - with absolutely no judgements 🫶🏻

I've also been thinking of speaking to someone at Clowes Methodist church at the top of greenwood avenue about a possible weekly group coffee afternoon, women supporting women, have a natter etc. I would happily supply tea & coffee ☕ 😊

I hope to see you soon 💜

I will be arranging some walks in the coming weeks. Rainbow garden is a great place to stop have a natter or help out around the garden, altho there's never an obligation.

🫵WE NEED YOU🫵

It's that time of year when the weeds like to grow and grow in many different places 🥴
The maintenance job list gets longer🙄
Plants need planting 👍
Watering needs to be done💦
Some pruning needs to take place

Although we have a great team of volunteers, who continuously work hard in the garden, we could do with more 👐👐

If you like the outdoors, meeting friendly people in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Like gardening or perhaps have never tried but always wanted to give it a go.
Like general DIY/ garden maintenance
Can spare an hour here and there

Then please get in touch 😊

Benefits of drinking dandelion tea:

# Promotes Liver Health:

Dandelion root has long been held as a “liver tonic” in folk medicine. Preliminary studies suggest this is due, in part, to its ability to increase the flow of bile, which can help with detoxification.

# May Improve Blood Sugar Control:

Some studies suggest that dandelion tea may help regulate blood sugar levels.

# Rich in Antioxidants:

Dandelion tea is a good source of antioxidants, which can help protect your cells from damage.

# Natural Diuretic:

Dandelion tea is a natural diuretic, which means it can help increase urination. This can be helpful for people who are retaining fluids or who have high blood pressure.

# May Aid Digestion:

Dandelion tea has traditionally been used to improve digestion and relieve constipation.

All that goodness right in your own backyard🌼

The Secret Weapon for Mental Clarity, Stress Relief, and Longevity?

👉 Walking. And yes, it’s that powerful.

💭 Overthinking?
Let your mind wander while your body moves. Walking without headphones allows your thoughts to surface and settle. It’s like decluttering your mental desktop.

💪 Need a health boost?
Walking is one of the most accessible forms of exercise. It strengthens your heart, muscles, and mind—and it's been linked to a longer life.

🧠 Feeling stressed?
Push yourself for just a moment—walk a little faster, climb a hill—and trigger those endorphins. They’re your brain’s natural mood lifters.

🌿 Struggling to focus?
Nature walks help reset your attention span. Just 20 minutes outdoors can refresh your brain and fuel your day.

Tag a friend to walk with you. Let’s get moving

Looking forward to some warmer weather, walks and nothing but these sounds 🥰

Positive Pathways : A place for women to feel safe, supported, and encouraged. 💞

This journey began with my own mental health struggles, loss grief & isolation from everyone & everything. But still I had a yearning for connection, walks in nature, a reason to get out of bed and LIVE. So I started a walking group in hopes it would reach out too anyone feeling the same as myself.

All I know is I’m not alone, and there’s many of you beautiful strong resilient women out there who feel the same as I do. Because my mind is slowly killing my body & im fighting for myself AND for anyone else who’s going through difficult times. ❤️‍🩹

It’s all about community, connection & supporting one another.. if you feel this resonates please like my page to see what plans I have for the coming months & hopefully we can build something amazing together too help us all feel better, do better & be the best versions of ourselves we can be. 🥰

I want to find a safe local space in HU6 where women can come together and feel supported.
Have a cuppa & a chat, no pressure. 🫖 🗣️

I still would like to do walking sessions as I know how important moving & walking is not only for the body but mind too. 🧠 ♥️

Hope allotments has also been very open too any groups popping along to help, or just enjoy the community garden. As have the Rainbow garden who have always been so welcoming 🥰 which I’m thinking would be great destinations for our walks (all suggestions are very welcome)

I hope I haven’t waffled on too much & you can see my mission & intentions. And even if it’s not for you, please do share if you know anyone who could benefit. 🙏🏼

Thank you so much for reading 🫶
