how much time do you think lapsed between my first and last attempt at making a bedazzled soap?
years? months? weeks?
try hours. nearly 24... but still!
attempt 1:
yikes, right?! are we playing Candy Crush? did a 5 year old make it? why so lumpy? are we mining for gems?
attempt 2:
believe it or not, was much the same as attempt 1. ffs.
attempt 3:
the black wasn't working, change that. the size of the 'gems' were too flat, panic order some new moulds. the pour over soap technique to stick the gems down is too lumpy, gotta hatch each gem and subsequent area under it on the soap slab to make sure they stick on properly.
I have been making soaps for over 2 years and you would think that I'd have a vision and just know how to execute it but that is most definitely NOT the case.
but not giving up is definitely something I've had to learn.
and I'm so glad I kept pushing the vision!!
