Fresh Silhouette Warm, supportive adult ballet and tap classes. MRB DANCE build confidence, skills and friendships through the power of dance.

Classes are thoughtfully taught to build strength, coordination, and body awareness at a steady, adult-friendly pace — without pressure, exams, or performance expectations. I offer ballet and tap classes to children aged 3 years and upwards and adult tap classes. These classes not only develop physical skills and health, but also encourages social, emotional, cognitive and creative development. Wh

en I started MRB Dance in December 2009 I made the decision to be different from all the other dance schools, by not putting the dancers through graded exams. I discovered very early on during my further education in dance, that all the exams I did and all the grades I achieved from those exams meant absolutely nothing in any audition I did. All that mattered was how I performed on that day in the audition. That is why at MRB Dance I focus on the dancers developing their technique in an enjoyable way, rather than the very regimented and strict way other dance schools do and we work towards performing shows annually instead of doing exams.

Over the past year my teaching has continued to grow and evolve, and it felt like the right time for the name to reflect that.

MRB Dance is now Fresh Silhouette.

The classes themselves aren’t changing — I’ll still be running the same welcoming adult ballet and tap classes. The new name simply better represents the direction my teaching has developed over time.

Fresh Silhouette focuses on thoughtful dance training that helps adults build strength, coordination and confidence in movement.

Today marks the end of an era, as I teach my final kids class. I have been teaching kids for 26 yrs and had my dance school for 15 yrs this December. It has been a struggle to get numbers ever since COVID with rarely being able to pay myself, so it's time to stop.

But it's not the end of my teaching career, I still have the adult ballet and tap classes on a Tuesday evening and as of September I will be a dance lecturer at Nardone college.

I wish all the kids the very best, it has been a pleasure to teach you all and watch you grow as a dancer and a person. ❤️

I have a 10 week beginner adult tap course for complete beginners and a 10 week Intermediate adult tap course for those who have done some tap. Both starting next week at Strive studio, Methven road.

Good evening everyone and Happy Mother's Day. As some of you already know I am performing in NAPAs production of Beauty and the Beast this June at Lochgelly centre. Wednesday 5th June - Saturday 8th June, 7:30pm start with a matinee on the Saturday at 2:30pm.

Tickets are £16 for adults (16yrs +) and £15 for children.

If you would like me to get you some tickets (avoiding the booking fee) let me know by Saturday 16th March so I can get my form in quickly.

This course start Tuesday 23rd January at 7pm in Strive studio, Methven road, Kirkcaldy, and will run for 10 weeks.

If you don't book on before it starts on Tuesday, you will have to wait until the next course.
