The thinking behind my work. 🤍
As a Clinical Psychologist, my work has always been rooted in understanding people: their experiences, the patterns they develop, the ways they learn to cope, and the things that can make change difficult.
Over many years of clinical practice, I’ve developed a deep appreciation of the complexity of being human. Our difficulties don’t exist in isolation. They are shaped by our experiences, our relationships, our environments and the ways we learn to respond to the world around us.
I believe meaningful change begins with understanding, curiosity and compassion — rather than judgement or the expectation that we should simply try harder.
This perspective continues to inform my work, while my own exploration of yoga and somatic practice has deepened my interest in the relationship between mind and body, and the ways we can come to understand and relate to ourselves beyond words alone.
Bringing these approaches together allows me to draw on both psychological understanding and the experience of working with the body through movement, breath and awareness.
Whether through psychology, yoga or somatic practice, the thread running through my work is a belief that wellbeing is not simply about managing difficulties or finding ways to keep going. It’s about developing a deeper understanding of ourselves, recognising what we need and finding ways of living that are more connected, compassionate and sustainable.
There is no single formula for wellbeing, and no one approach that meets every need. My aim is to create space for exploration, understanding and change, drawing on different perspectives to support people in ways that feel meaningful to them.
