You’re not “broken” and you don’t necessarily need more pills, powders, or quick fixes to reach your goals..

Most of the time, your body isn’t asking for more, it’s asking for better.

🤍More real food - cook at home and make meals from scratch! 
🤍More protein, fibre, and healthy fats - Stop restricting things
🤍More water - hydrate well for good body function
🤍More sleep - this is where the magic happens 
🤍More consistency - this beats perfection
🤍More gut focus - gut health is everything

Supplements can support you, but they can’t replace a foundation that isn’t there. If you are lacking in the basics the supplements wont have an effect anyway…

Food first nutrition should always be the foundation. Start with nourishment first. Everything else comes after.

No, you cannot out train a bad diet. It just does not work!

Only 20% of fat loss happens in the gym - you can do all the exercise in the world but if we are 100% honest : if you are not sleeping well, not focussing on your nutrition and are completely stressed then your body will not be in a position to lose fat and function well.

You need to manage protein intake, prioritise sleep and get your habits right before your body will let you get to your goals.

If you are feeling stuck because you exercise all the time but cannot reach your goals... it may be time to change your nutrition. Sometimes its not all the things you are "doing right" but rather the things you have overlooked!

One of my clients came to see me after a routine blood test showed her HbA1c was 67. She had been in the clinic for her Health Check and we picked this up. Her blood glucose had never been flagged in a blood test before.

She was also feeling tired, struggling with cravings, and worried about what this meant for her health - so was referred to me to improve her wellness naturally.

Instead of drastic diets, we focused on building balanced, sustainable eating habits that support blood sugar control. A plan which fits into her lifestyle and something which she will be able to continue forever.

A work in progress but three months later here we are:

HbA1c: 67 → 51
Weight: ↓ over a stone!

But the numbers aren’t even the best part.

She now reports:
• More energy
• Better sleep
• No cravings
• Enjoying exercise again

Her HbA1c is still above the normal range (≤42), but this is a huge step in the right direction. We are also working on increasing her muscle mass now to ensure she is strong aswell as functional.

Progress like this is exactly why nutrition matters. She didn't need medication - she needed a personalised approach. Small changes. Consistent habits. Real results.

One thing I wish everyone understood is that nourishing your body is not the same as counting calories.

Our bodies require so much more than numbers!

Calories tell us how much energy food provides, but they say nothing about the fiber, protein, fats, vitamins and phytonutrients that actually allow our bodies to function properly.

Calories are not equal and to that point, two foods that have the same calories will have a vastly different effect on your body in terms of energy, hormones, digestion, blood sugar, mood, and long-term health.

When we dont NOURISH our bodies we start with:
* ��Cravings
* ��Slower metabolism
* ��Hormones dysregulation
* ��Obsession around food
* ��Satiety / fullness disappears

This is why diets dont work... this is why we give up on those calorie controlled diets - its not lack of discipline, its your body asking for more!

The NOURISH shift leads to
* ��Stable energy
* ��Blood sugar balance
* ��Muscle repair and satiety = more gains
* ��Gut and hormonal support
* ��Long-term metabolic health

Nourishment is the foundation - once you have this you'll thrive without starving yourself! Of course calories matter (as in its good to understand your food) but they are only one TINY piece of the picture.

2025 was an incredible year - helping clients change their lives, not in weight alone but balancing hormones, improving inflammation, decreasing cardiovascular risk and becoming more functional. Thats magical stuff!

Changing peoples lives, improving their wellness and seeing them succeed on their journeys is what fuels me.. it makes me feel alive and what drives me to be a better dietician & wellness coach.

Today I had the pleasure of speaking with an amazing group of women about cardiovascular wellness at the meet up. ❤️ (Thank you for having me!)

We talked about the importance of understanding our own risk factors, making small but powerful lifestyle changes, and most importantly, taking preventive steps before problems arise.

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death for women, yet so much of it is preventable through awareness, early action, screening and consistent self-care.

These conversations remind me why this work matters - empowering women to take control of their health, its so important!

I love the work I do - Wellness is prevention and everyone can do something to help prevent cardiovascular disease. The earlier we start, the stronger our hearts and our futures will be.

Something I feel every woman needs to know... if you haven't seen the news:
A new clinical trial shows measurable changes in brain energy, mood, and cognitive function in peri- and postmenopausal women after 8 weeks of a trial of creatine hydrochloride.

It's not about muscle when we talk about creatine - it's about wellness and getting our bodies to function well.

While this was a small study, its the first of its kind and is a big step forward in womens health and wellness.
