🥾 SNOWDONIA WEEK 2026 - DAY 5 🏔️

Another fantastic day in Snowdonia!

The morning started cloudy, but the sunshine soon broke through and treated us to another beautiful day in the mountains. ☀️

Today we explored the Vale of Ffestiniog, and what a stunning valley it is. A wonderful walk through peaceful countryside, surrounded by dramatic hills, lush greenery and spectacular scenery at every turn.

Not every great Snowdonia walk needs a mountain summit. Sometimes it's about slowing down, taking in the landscape and appreciating the beauty all around you.

🥾 SNOWDONIA WEEK 2026 - DAY 4 🏔️🌲

Another great day in Snowdonia!

The weather started off a little grey this morning, but thankfully the sun soon made an appearance and gave us some lovely conditions for walking.

Today's route took us around Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant, two beautiful lakes tucked away amongst the hills and forests near Capel Curig. A gentler walk than the previous few days, but with enough climbs and challenges here and there to keep things interesting.

The mix of woodland trails, lakeside paths and mountain views made for a fantastic day out, with some stunning views across the lakes and surrounding hills, including glimpses of Moel Siabod.

🥾 SNOWDONIA WEEK 2026 - DAY 3 🏔️

Another day, another dose of perfect Snowdonia weather! ☀️

Today we tackled Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) via the ever-popular Pyg Track, returning on the Miners' Track. The clear conditions gave us fantastic views throughout the day, making every step worthwhile.

A real bonus was seeing the famous Snowdon Mountain Railway train at the summit, which added to an already memorable day on Wales' highest mountain.

The Pyg Track delivered its usual dramatic mountain scenery, while the Miners' Track provided a beautiful return past the lakes below the summit.

🥾 SNOWDONIA WEEK 2026 - DAY 2 🌲🏔️

After yesterday's Moel Siabod scramble, we decided a gentler day was in order!

Today's walk took us through the beautiful Gwydyr Forest, following riverside paths, waterfalls and woodland trails. We visited several impressive falls along the way, including the spectacular Swallow Falls and Pont-y-Pair.

The climb through Gwydyr Forest was well worth the effort, rewarding us with fantastic views across Llyn Elsi and back towards Moel Siabod.

Once again, we were blessed with perfect weather, allowing us to fully appreciate the scenery and everything this wonderful area has to offer.

🥾 SNOWDONIA WEEK 2026 - DAY 1: MOEL SIABOD 🏔️

What a fantastic start to the week!

Today we tackled Moel Siabod, one of Snowdonia's most underrated mountains. While it may not attract the crowds of Snowdon or Tryfan, the views from the summit are simply outstanding.

With perfect weather and clear skies, we were rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views across Snowdonia, including Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Tryfan, the Glyderau and Carneddau.

A superb mountain, fantastic company, and a reminder that some of the best walks are often the ones people overlook.
