Hanumanasana (Front Splits) workshop

Here, we will be exploring the intelligent development of flexibility, strength, and control through the lens of the front splits.

⭐️This workshop will combine traditional approaches from Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga with principles drawn from gymnastics mobility training, strength and conditioning, and contemporary movement science.

⭐️Rather than forcing range through passive stretching alone, we will investigate how breath, alignment, active mobility, nervous system regulation, and progressive loading can work together to create sustainable and accessible flexibility.

⭐️Throughout the session we will use a mixture of dynamic drills, supported postures, partner work, mobility exercises, and strength-based practices designed to safely improve hip extension, hamstring length, pelvic stability, and overall movement awareness.

⭐️The workshop is suitable for both experienced practitioners refining their practice and newer students wanting to understand a more intelligent pathway toward Hanumanasana.

⭐️Expect an approach grounded equally in tradition and evidence-informed practice, with clear scientific reasoning supporting the methods we explore.

Just a little update from me… 💛

In June I’ll be heading to Ibiza to host my very first international wellness retreats with my lovely friend Vicky! It’s such an exciting opportunity, but it does mean I’ll be away from the Shala for two weeks.

🧘‍♀️ Last class before I leave:
Monday 15th June – 8:00pm

🌞 First class back:
Wednesday 1st July – 7:00am

While I’m away, the Shala will still be open for a few special cover classes taught by my wonderful friend Jina — and I know you’ll all be in very good hands 🤍

📅 Jina’s Cover Classes:
• Wednesday 17th June – 9:30am & 6:30pm
• Monday 22nd June – 9:30am
• Wednesday 24th June – 9:30am & 6:30pm
• Monday 29th June – 9:30am

Wednesday evening classes have been added especially for evening students, as Jina is already teaching on other evenings ✨

To book onto any of Jina’s classes, please WhatsApp or text her directly with your name and the class you’d like to attend. If you normally do single class payments, just let her know when booking.

🌸 Hello lovelies 🌸

You’re warmly invited to join myself and Sat for a beautiful Summer Day Retreat on Saturday 11th July, 9:00am–2:30pm.

🌸 We’ll begin the day with a gentle, relaxing morning yoga practice

🌸 Followed by a workshop on grounding and self-regulation techniques. You’ll learn about polyvagal theory, gain a deeper understanding of your nervous system, and discover practical ways to support yourself in everyday life

🌸 We’ll then just head across the road for a lovely group picnic (weather dependant). Everyone is invited to bring a small dish to share — a relaxed community food-share style lunch

🌸 In the afternoon, enjoy a calming Tai Chi session, held outdoors if possible, or in the studio if it’s raining. 

🌸 Followed by mindful painting where you will be making your own sun catchers with a little kit each.

🌸 We’ll close with a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra guided meditation, leaving you feeling relaxed, grounded, and replenished

✨ A perfect mini-retreat to welcome the summer season ✨

We’ve had a couple of spaces open up for our Ibiza retreats this June, and we’d absolutely love to welcome you.

✨ 18th–22nd June – 2 spaces now available in a shared room
✨ 24th–28th June – a few final spaces remaining

I know that travelling alone can sometimes feel a little daunting or overwhelming. But retreats like this are actually one of the most beautiful ways to go solo. You’ll be surrounded by like-minded people who are there for the same reasons — to rest, reset, and reconnect. It’s such a special environment, and often where the most genuine, lasting friendships are formed.

From my own experience of travelling and living abroad solo, some of my closest friendships today began in moments just like this 💫

Our retreats are designed to support you fully. You’ll be held in a warm, welcoming space by both myself and Vicky — meaning there’s plenty of care and attention for everyone.

In a world where we’re taught to “hold it together,” TRE offers space to soften. It invites you back into connection with your body, helping you move from survival mode toward a sense of safety, grounding, and ease.

TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a gentle, body-based practice designed to help release deep patterns of stress, tension, and stored trauma.

Through a series of simple movements, TRE safely activates the body’s natural tremoring response — a built-in mechanism that helps regulate the nervous system and discharge stress. These tremors aren’t something you force; they arise organically, allowing the body to unwind at its own pace.

This practice isn’t about reliving the past — it’s about creating more capacity in the present. More calm. More resilience. More room to breathe.

Your body already knows how to heal. Sometimes it just needs permission to release. 💛

Hello lovely people! We’d absolutely love you to join us in beautiful Ibiza this June — our final remaining spots are filling fast.

Expect a nourishing few days of yoga, deep rest, TRE, restorative classes, sunshine, connection, and plenty of time to simply slow down and reset. This is your invitation to step away from the everyday and give yourself the care you deserve.
