HOW THE TREATMENT IS PERFORMED ..... a retractor is placed into the mouth, a protective gel applied to the gums to avoid sensitivity.
I apply a whitening gel to the teeth and heat with a laser LED light for 15 minutes. You will then be asked if you would like to rinse your mouth then the gel will be reapplied and then the procedure will be repeated again.
Followed by a slightly shorter 3rd application for the best results. the whole process will take about 1 hour. Full after care instructions given after treatment and for optimum results, clients are advised to avoid any coloured food or beverages for 24 hours following treatment. How does it work? The whitening gel breaks down into oxygen molecules, the molecules go into the tiny pores of the enamel and dentin, and break up the stains that block out the light. As strains are broken into smaller pieces, light then passes through the teeth and makes them look lighter. stains which have built-up over time, that are yellow to slightly brown produce the best results teeth that are dark brown to blue-gray are most difficult to bleach. The treatment can last up to 12 months with the right care and I recommend using a whitening toothpaste afterwards.. all done in the comfort of your own home!
