Healing with sound has been in existence for many thousands of years across many different cultures. At Grounded Sound, I combine this ancient wisdom with modern understanding of sound science and biofield energy to rebalance mind, body and spirit, as taught by the International Sound Healing Academy as 'integral sound healing'. Using a variety of soothing instruments as well as my voice, specific sound frequencies are created which, coupled with your intention set for each session, have a restorative and re-balancing effect on the mind, body and spirit. Sound therapy benefits include anxiety and stress reduction, pain reduction, improved sleep, deep relaxation, expanded awareness and a sense of wholeness. Physiologically, sound therapy has also been proven to lower blood pressure, slow the heart rate and brain waves to induce a sense of calm, increase oxytocin and melatonin (to aid relaxation) and nitric oxide levels (to help blood flow), reduce cortisol levels (the so-called stress hormone) and release endorphins (the feel good factor). A sound therapy session, tailored to your specific needs, can bring a deep relaxation and healing. Using healing sound we are able to push through any mental or emotional resistance to release any suppressed emotions and reform new patterns of health and wellness. We are all unique vibratory beings, so working with each individual client, I provide a bespoke session to assess your personal energy each time and work with you to bring your mind, body and spirit back to their natural alignment and balance for optimum well being. I will guide you back to sound health using a number of healing instruments including Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, tuning forks, drum, gong and chimes as well as my soothing and soulful voice. It's a non-pharmaceutical prescription for self-healing with only positive side-effects including increased vitality, relaxation, peace, stress release, empowerment to improve your state of health and well-being and even a feeling of deeper connection and spiritual awareness, if that's your intention.

Hi lovely people, just a little message about The Half‑Day Haven: Yin Yoga & Sound next Sunday, 18th Oct.

This time of year can feel heavy as the days feel shorter — busy minds, tired bodies, that sense of running on low without even realising it. Rest isn’t a luxury right now. It’s a much-needed medicine. And yin and sound together offer something really special: deep nervous‑system settling, gentle unwinding, and that soft, spacious feeling of coming back to yourself.
This deep rest can make a huge difference to your mood, resilience and energy levels. It ripples out into your life in so many ways.

And because it’s me and Su, you know it’s held with real care. We each bring our own kind of magic — Su’s slow, intuitive yin that melts tension from the inside out, and my sound work that drops you into a quiet, nourishing stillness. In a four‑hour extended session, it becomes a whole afternoon of being looked after.

We'll be sharing cacao mindfully and finishing our time together with tea and cake.

We still have space for you, so if you’ve been feeling stretched, tired, or simply curious about what this kind of rest could offer, we’d truly love to welcome you.

It's £49. We start at 1.30pm in the charming Botcheston Village Hall, Leicestershire.
Just message me and I’ll book you in.

Would be so lovely to have you with us.

We all need space to breathe. When we're so tired we can't remember who we are beneath all the noise.

Let me create the space for you to press pause, take a breath, and rest deeply.

This is deep, nurturing self care. So needed.

I know. I've been there. Too tired to stop. Scared that if I did, I wouldn't start again. I can help.

If you need it, message me. Kay x

My sessions create the space for you to press pause.

For you to take a breath, and rest deeply.

Can you feel the season slowing down?
There’s a moment every year when the light shifts, the air cools, and autumn begins its quiet descent into winter. It’s subtle, but unmistakable — a soft invitation to pause, breathe, wrap the warm blanket around ourselves.

This time of year has a way of drawing us inward.
The trees release what they no longer need.
The evenings arrive earlier.

And even if life is still busy, there’s a part of us that starts to crave a slower rhythm — a gentler pace, a bit more space, a moment to gather ourselves before the deep midwinter arrives.

I’ve been feeling that shift too.
Not in a dramatic way — just in the small, honest moments.
The way the light falls in the late afternoon when the sun is low.
The way my body asks for warmth and stillness.
The way the year feels like it’s exhaling.

Winter months hold a different kind of quiet.
A stillness that can be deeply nourishing when we meet it intentionally rather than stumbling into it exhausted.

That’s why I’m holding a Winter retreat day on Sunday 10 January at the beautiful Roundhouse Haven, South Leics. It's one of my very favourite places.
A peaceful, grounding space and a day to look forward to as the festive lights are put away and the world feels a little dimmer.
A small light waiting in the heart of midwinter — something gentle, steady, and supportive to carry you through the darker months.

It’s a day for slowing down.
For letting your nervous system settle.
For being held in community rather than navigating the winter alone.
For reconnecting with your own inner quiet as the year begins again.

This retreat is the first of four seasonal gatherings, but each one stands beautifully on its own. You don’t need to commit to the whole cycle — you can simply come to this one and let it be a moment of calm in the deep winter.

If you’d like the details, just send me a message and I’ll share everything with you.

Stillness is vital to the world of the soul. If you become more still, you will discover that stillness can be a great companion. The fragments of your life will have time to unify, and the places where your soul-shelter is wounded or broken will have time to knit and heal. You will be able to return to yourself. In this stillness, you will engage your soul. ~John O'Donohue

Let stillness restore you.
Come and join me and let me guide you into the stillness for deep healing.

Here are eight truths about your mind and body that deeply support your wellbeing:

1. Stress can quietly become your “normal.”
Your system adapts to keep you going, even when it’s overwhelmed. Rest and slower rhythms help you remember what safety feels like.

2. Your thoughts are not always the truth.
A tired or overloaded mind speaks in distortions. You can learn to witness your thoughts instead of becoming them. Don't believe everything you think!

3. Your emotions need space to move.
When feelings are pushed down, they often return as tension or exhaustion. Gentle attention creates room for release. What have you been trying to suppress?

4. Boundaries protect connection.
They’re not walls — they’re agreements that help you stay present without losing yourself.

5. Healing moves in spirals, not straight lines.
Each return brings you a little more wisdom, capacity, and courage.

6. Support strengthens you.
You were never meant to heal in isolation. Steady, meaningful connection helps you soften and settle.

7. Self‑kindness changes everything.
Harshness creates fear, but it's gentleness that creates acceptance and growth.

8. Healing takes time and softness.
You deserve the compassion you offer so freely to others. You are a child of the universe, made of stardust. Wellbeing is your birth right.

These truths matter because your wellbeing grows and blossoms in safety, slowness, and support — not in pressure or pushing through.

That’s exactly what my sessions are built for.
Sound therapy and Seichim Egyptian Reiki help you unwind, release what you’ve been carrying, shift emotional patterns, and rebuild inner steadiness in a way that feels gentle and grounded.
