This one was a raw and emotional one to share. Whilst my heart is healed the "what could have been" Will never leave me. If we hadn't lost this pregnancy our baby would be 8 months old now... Our life is crazy and I can't imagine how much crazier it would have been adding another baby to the mix. But our hearts would have grown, we would have made room for another little one and we know we would have been happy.
When you lose a pregnancy, whether that's from being PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise) after an IVF transfer, whether it's a "chemical" pregnancy, early miscarriage, miscarriage, still birth or losing a little one after birth a loss is a loss and one person's situation should never be used as a reason to dull YOUR emotions.
Falling pregnant after loss is scary. It can be painful, it can claw its way into every single waking moment. The "what ifs" , the feeling that your body failed once so what makes this time different, the almost obsessive monitoring of movements, the panicked 3am "do I need to call MAU?" Moments when the world is still and you fell alone.
I get it.
This is why I'm here, this is why I will hold your hand. My support to you doesn't end when your course finishes. I'm there, every step of the way... Checking in, answering questions, holding space for you.
