Love braids? Make sure you’re protecting your hair underneath the style.

Braids are a great protective style, but if not done right they can lead to breakage and thinning edges.

💡 Key braiding tips:

✔ Don’t braid too tight
If it hurts, it’s too tight, this can damage your edges and lead to traction hair loss.

💧 Moisturise before and during
Hydrate your hair before braiding and use a light spray or oil during the style.

🧴 Choose the right hair products
Avoid heavy gels that cause build-up, keep it light and clean.

⏳ Don’t leave braids in too long
Aim for 4–8 weeks max to avoid matting and breakage.
