The school run's back, and the alarms are set again.
Everyone's talking about getting back into it, but here's what nobody mentions...
The body doesn't reset just because the calendar does.
If you're a parent, the summer holidays were never really a break. Different demands, different rhythm, but rarely less on your plate.
Broken sleep. No proper downtime. Meals eaten standing up. Days with no shape to them.
And now, straight into September, straight into routine, straight into work mode.
The body doesn't get the memo that it's supposed to feel refreshed. It's just swapped one kind of load for another.
If you've gone into this term already feeling behind before it's even started, that's not you failing to keep up.
That's a body that's been carrying a lot, quietly, for weeks, give yourself a break π
