Retreat yo’self
*speaking my mind..
Self care is knowing when to stop or take yourself away from a place in order to reconnect, rejuvenate and reflect.
I’ve learnt this weekend to say no, knowing my body needs rest and my energy needs space, peace and tranquillity. So I followed my needs and I’m so grateful to myself for it.
One of my trauma responses is people pleasing, fear of letting the other down in the expense of putting my needs first, leading to burnout , lack of self trust and self love.
So I invested in my well being and booked a cottage in the peaks, it seems like a big investment but my body was saying ‘yes! please I need this!
The past several months I have been practicing saying no, tuning into what my body needs and what it doesn’t. It seems simple, but it was only last December I learnt what ‘boundaries’ are, and that I have allowed mine to be crossed for too long.
Recently I met this beautiful goddess sat in front of me, I feel supported to be my authentic self, however that looks, supported to say no without an explanation or f**k yes! To follow my needs as my number one priority 🔥I’m so lucky to be surrounded by friends who ‘check in’ with you on a regular basis and respect where your at.💚
Surround yourself with people who love, see and hear you at all times 💚 be vulnerable - it’s sexy!
