Some days the heat isn’t just outside.

Everything feels louder. Smaller tasks feel heavier. Your thoughts move slower while expectations stay exactly the same.

Heat has a way of making overwhelm feel personal, when sometimes your body and mind are simply working harder than usual.

You don’t always need a new routine, more discipline, or a perfect reset. Sometimes you need water, shade, quieter plans, lower expectations, and permission to do fewer things well instead of everything halfway.

Not every overwhelmed day means something is wrong.

Sometimes it’s just hot.

So heres my reminder….exercising in the heat isn’t always the flex people think it is ☀️💦

If your body is saying no today — listen to it. Rest is allowed too.

If you do move your body:
Wear comfy, cool clothing
Stay hydrated
Keep it gentle and take breaks
Listen to your body, not pressure

And if today’s version of self-care is skipping the workout, sitting in the shade and enjoying a lolly ice instead… that’s okay too 🍦

Movement should support you, not punish you. Hot days aren’t a test of toughness ❤️

☀️ Hot days hit differently — don’t forget to stay hydrated.

Drink water regularly, not just when you feel thirsty. Add extra fluids if you’re outside, exercising, or spending time in direct sun. Foods with high water content like watermelon, cucumber, and oranges can help too.

Watch for signs you may need more fluids: headache, dry mouth, tiredness, dizziness, or dark urine.

Small habit, big difference: keep a bottle nearby and take sips throughout the day. Stay cool and take care of yourself 💧

I just wanted to do this quick post to say HI and introduce me - the person behind the business and a little bit about me.
Im Jen and have been in the Fitness Industry for 22 years and this year will be my 16th year running my business (before that I worked in gyms)

Im in my 40s and my mission is to advocate being i. Your 40s and navigating the changes

Before I worked in fitness I was a Dancer (performing arts)
Im qualified in Fitness (obv)
Im a Level 5 Sports Therapist also
I volunteer with fans supporting food banks in the city
My passion is Women’s wellbeing (especially hormonal health)
I am also a photographer - Life in Photos by Jen - always got my camera with me
Im a BIG LFC Fan
Im an only child
Ive got NO kids and don’t plan on ever having any
Im scared of flying, but I LOVE to travel....go figure
Im NOT an adrenaline ju**ie, and the thought of a theme park makes me sick
Im a proper book worm
Im obsessed with space and the moon
I love being in nature and going on adventures
Im a positive person, which can annoy some people but hey I just wanna brighten the world

Im not your “insta worthy” kind of instructor, I don’t have and never have wanted a 6 pack..I call out the BS and don’t want to be liked for how I look...I approach my classes, my business and how I am a lot different from a lot of the industry and that’s OK

OK that’s enough....just wanted to show Im human and a little insight into ME, beyond the rants and posts
