👩🏼‍🎓GRADUATION DAY!! 👩🏼‍🎓🎓🎉🥳

I did it!! I have come to the end of an incredible journey with my training with Yoga Scotland. I did a year on the Foundation Course, then the 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training Diploma, which was a further 2 years. I am now a fully qualified Yoga Scotland Teacher! ✨

It's been a truly transformative journey. I honestly didn't think I could do it many times throughout the course. But I got through it because there was a fantastic supportive community.

I was in the company of some great and wise yogis 🧘‍♀️ The amazing tutors Judy Cameron, Susannah Dean and Cathy Swan. They were all so good and have so much worldly experience of yoga.

My lovely fellow students will be friends for life. ❤️ You all helped me get through it. Thank you for the best experience I could've ever hoped for! I loved it!

Now, it's time to focus on teaching my own lovely yoga students. I will pass on what I have learned to you now! And to continue being part of the whole yoga community 💖

🌸☀️ Bloom Into Summer with Joy ☀️🌸

Summer is a season of growth, light, and possibility.
Just as flowers bloom in the warmth of the sunshine, we too can flourish when we make time to nurture ourselves. 🌿

Yoga offers an opportunity to pause, breathe deeply, move mindfully, and reconnect with the joy that already exists within us. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or continuing your journey, every practice is a chance to grow, learn, and bloom.

This summer, I invite you to:

✨ Create space for self-care
✨ Move your body with kindness
✨ Find moments of calm and joy
✨ Connect with yourself and others
✨ Embrace new beginnings and personal growth

You don't need to be flexible or experienced to enjoy the benefits of yoga. All you need is a willingness to show up for yourself.

As nature blooms all around us, perhaps this is your season to bloom too. 🌸💛

I'd love to welcome you to class and support you on your journey.

🌿 It's Never Too Late to Start Yoga 🌿

Retirement can be a wonderful opportunity to focus on something that often gets pushed to the bottom of the list during our busy working lives: looking after yourself. 💚

Yoga isn't about touching your toes or twisting yourself into complicated shapes. It's about moving in a way that feels good for your body, improving balance and flexibility, building strength, and taking time to slow down and breathe.

As we get older, regular movement becomes even more important. Yoga can help to:

✨ Improve balance and stability
✨ Increase flexibility and mobility
✨ Support joint health
✨ Build strength gently
✨ Reduce stress and tension
✨ Improve sleep and overall wellbeing
✨ Create a sense of connection and community

My classes are welcoming, supportive, and suitable for beginners. Every pose can be adapted to meet your needs, making yoga accessible regardless of age, experience, or fitness level.

Taking care of yourself isn't a luxury—it's one of the most valuable investments you can make in your health and happiness.

Why not try something new and discover the benefits of yoga for yourself? 🧘‍♀️

I'd love to welcome you to class.

✨ Abhyāsa & Vairāgya ✨

In today’s yoga practice, we explored two timeless teachings from Patanjali: abhyāsa (steady, devoted practice) and vairāgya (non-attachment).

Abhyāsa invites us to show up again and again—with patience, consistency, and presence. Not because we are striving to become something else, but because practice itself is the path.

Vairāgya reminds us to soften our grip. To practice without clinging to outcomes, achievements, perfect poses, or expectations. To let go of the need to be further along, more flexible, stronger, or different than we are today.

Together, these teachings offer a beautiful balance: wholehearted effort without grasping.

As you move through your week, consider this: Can you give your best energy to what matters, while releasing attachment to the result? Can you trust the process without demanding immediate rewards?

Practice steadily. Let go gently.

The growth happens in both.

🧘‍♀️Join me for some gentle Hatha yoga this week. I would love to see you.

This week we explore the powerful theme of discipline and detachment.

Discipline invites us to show up consistently—on the mat and in our lives—with intention, patience, and commitment. Detachment teaches us to release expectations, let go of outcomes, and trust the process.

Through mindful movement, breathwork, and moments of stillness, we'll cultivate the balance between dedicated effort and gentle surrender.
Whether you're new to yoga or a regular practitioner, this week's classes offer an opportunity to strengthen both body and mind while finding greater ease and clarity.

✨ Come as you are
✨ Practice with presence.
✨ Leave feeling grounded and refreshed

😁I look forward to sharing the practice with you.

👉Please note that the Drop-in price has increased to £9 🙏

🌸It's the simple things in life that bring joy and help to bring us into the present moment.

Instead of thinking "I really need to cut my grass this weekend" and get all stressed, I just sat in the garden having my cuppa and noticed how lovely a simple daisy is.

It just shifts how you feel and how you live. And it only takes a minute. Just to be clear I wasn't staring at the daisy for ages!! 🤣
