😛🍴Lunch & Laughter🍴😋

It was a lovely wee trip out with Alec, Linda and Mary to The Sweet Chestnut for lunch! 🍽️ With so many tempting choices on the menu, we took a wee while to decide what to have, but that gave us plenty of time for a good blether.💖😊

Over lunch, we enjoyed the lovely food and conversation, with an extra surprise for Mary when a familiar face came over to say hello.🥰 A truly lovely afternoon spent together! 💕

What a fantastic time we had today with the wonderful Carol Lee! 🌟🎶

There was lots of singing, dancing in our chairs, toe-tapping, hand-clapping and plenty of laughter and smiles all round! 👏😂❤️

Our residents were in fine voice, showing off their fabulous dance moves and having an absolute ball! 💃🕺🤣🪩

🎃👻Spooktacular Spooks🎃👻

Halloween fun has started early here, and our residents were only too happy to get involved in creating a scary Halloween character.🕷️🧙‍♀️

With plenty of creativity and laughter along the way, everyone enjoyed watching our spooky creation come to life. 🎃The end result brought so much fun, with lots of smiles and giggles all round.😂🧡

It was a lovely opportunity to get creative together and enjoy a little early Halloween mischief.🦇✨

🎄🚌Festive Finds at Dobbies 🚌🎄

Our minibus trip took us to Dobbies today, where Linda and Mary enjoyed a lovely lunch before having a leisurely look around the Christmas displays and gifts. ✨😍

There were so many lovely things to see, from sparkling decorations to tempting gift ideas. Everything looked so good, it would have been easy to buy the whole shop! 🛍️😊

🚨👮‍♂️☕️ Cuppa With A Copper ☕️👮‍♀️🚨

To celebrate National Coffee with a Cop Day today, we were delighted to welcome our local Community Police Officers in for a good ol’ blether and a brew! ☕️💬👮‍♂️

A massive thank you to Community Police Officers Adrian and Candece for coming along and spending time with us. 💙 They shared some brilliant stories about their lives and experiences working in the police force, and everyone really enjoyed hearing all about their roles in the community.

We even got the chance to have a look inside the riot van and check out some of their equipment! 🚔🚨

Of course, there’s always a few bad eggs wherever you go… so a couple of them got chucked in the cage! 😂🚔🔒 And as for Izella… well, she ended up in handcuffs! 👮‍♀️😂⛓️

Thankfully, everyone was released on good behaviour! 🤣🤣

🍂 Moments of the Month – September ’26 🍂

What another jam-packed month of fun-filled activities and uplifting outings we’ve had! 🧡

September brought so many wonderful moments, from I Trust My Resident and Mind Your Manners, to the very special celebration of Joan’s 100th birthday! 🎂🎉 We enjoyed swimming sessions 🏊, Crazy Crispies, a fabulous Girls’ Day Out, a little movie magic 🎬 and our lovely Bluebird of Happiness.

There were adventures too, including M&D’s trip, and some particularly special memories as Diane Stocker’s wish was granted and Linda enjoyed her wish-granted visit to the Kelpies. 💫❤️

Back at home, we enjoyed our church service, Companion Club, morning fitness, prize bingo, dominoes tournament and plenty of Wake Up Shake Up! 💪🎶

So many smiles, laughs and memories packed into one month. 🍁❤️

We can’t wait for October fun moments! 🎃🍂

💫💕Linda’s Wish 💕💫

Today was one of those truly special days that reminds us just how precious wishes can be. 💕✨

Today our outing took us to Falkirk, where our first stop was the beautiful Kelpies 🐴💙. Linda shared with us that she had never seen them before, and that visiting them was something she had always wished to do. So joined by her friend Helen we made her wish come true, and seeing Linda’s face when her wish came true made the day feel even more meaningful. 🥹💖

We all took time to enjoy seeing the beautiful sculptures views together before sitting down for a lovely cup of tea and coffee, ☕ with a biscuit 🍪, sharing smiles, stories and plenty of laughter.

Wanting to make Linda’s day even more memorable, we then headed to the Falkirk Wheel ⚙️🌊, where we enjoyed lunch together and watched the incredible canal wheel in action. Linda was fascinated and, of course, wanted to get a little closer for an even better look. 😊💕

It was a day filled with happiness, friendship, laughter and special memories that we will all treasure. 🌸💞

Sometimes it really is the simplest wishes that create the biggest smiles. ✨

What a fantastic day, enjoyed by everyone. 💖🌟

🚗🏁✨ Wish Granted ✨🏁🚗

Sometimes the best experiences start with simply asking, “Who else would love this?” ❤️

On Saturday, Diane from Benore had her wish granted with a trip to Cowdenbeath Stock Cars, but this wish became even more special when our Manager, Jo-Ann, asked if there was someone from our neighbouring home, Robert Allan House, who might enjoy the experience too.

We immediately thought of Derek. ❤️

Derek has always loved stock cars and regularly attended the races with his sister, Irene, so when Jo-Ann invited him along, there was absolutely no hesitation!

And what a night they had! 🏁🚗💨

Jo-Ann, her daughter Bonny, one of Benore’s Wellbeing Coordinators, her grandson Isaac, and her husband Eck took Diane and Derek along to enjoy an incredible evening of racing, excitement and memories.

But this wasn’t just a trip to the stock cars…

It was about two residents from two homes coming together, discovering a shared passion and building a new friendship along the way. ❤️

And there was an extra-special connection for Diane, as she was once a mascot for Cowdenbeath Stock Cars, making her return to the track all the more meaningful. 🥹🏁

They even gave Diane her very own special announcement to celebrate her return! Needless to say, Diane was practically a celebrity there! 🏆🏎️

A huge shout-out to the Lindsay family for going above and beyond to make this happen. Experiences like this show just how powerful it can be when we listen to what matters to our residents and create opportunities for them to reconnect with the things they love. ❤️

Two homes. Two wishes. One unforgettable night. 🏁✨
